Wow! So beautiful. Several places to sit and enjoy the beauty. And so wonderful to be able to walk through the rows and rows of roses. Some have a delightful scent. Don’t miss this.

Absolutely beautiful. Detail everywhere you look. Very relaxing experience. The amount of planning and upkeep required is mind boggling. Well worth the entry fee.

Walked from main entrance parking lot to International Rose Garden (2 miles?) around 8:30 am (some attractions don’t open until 10 am). Via the Overlook and Wildwood trails passing by the Visitors Center. Enjoyable and long, but, didn’t expect to pass backyards of houses and encounter several residents. Not an early morning to myself. Some mud in spots, best to wear boots most months of the year.
Took the shuttle bus back to the entrance.

Beautiful grounds and very interesting mansion. Lots of signage with historical context for the home and family that lived there. Stunning views of the city and if the sky is clear the mountain beyond.

My husband and I stopped here during our trip to Portland and he enjoyed this garden more than the Japanese Garden. It's very small but tranquil given it is in Chinatown in downtown Portland. The grounds are very lovingly maintained and while there were others also touring the garden with us, we never felt crowded or rushed. The tea house was a very peaceful spot to unwind with delicious almond cookies, mooncakes, and teas. A must for people who just want a little beauty and peace in the city.

This is a large wonderful science and industry museum in Portland by the river. The exhibits are creative and were exciting for my 8 year old grandson. It would be better if they had a restaurant there as there were only snacks. The gift shop is amazing.

We were happy to see that the market was up and operating. There were over 150 market vendors open when we were there. A wide variety of items available from jewelry to unusual Portland themed t-shirts/hoodies to locally made clothing and food items. There were also the expected range of food vendors on site. While there are plenty of standard vendors with mid range fare there are also plenty of more unusual offerings as well.

Fabulous modern zoo with wonderful paths. I was able to see so much, including habitat. I especially loved the eagles, the river otters, and the tarantulas. I was able to see a tarantula eating! So cool. And so convenient because the TriMet stops right there.

Tri met MAX is a very good Light Rail System. Goes pretty much everywhere in town, if you ride the bus, too..

A charming village with unique shops and restaurants. A few empty spots but new ones coming soon. It is a delightful place to stroll with friendly people and lots of dogs (some of the stores actually invite in well-behaved ones). And, don't forget the side streets such as the food carts in the French Quarter with two more delicious places across the street - Marcos and Grand Central Bakery. And for those who like the chains, to the east on Capitol Highway you will find a Starbucks, Blue Donuts and Little Big Burger. The locals love the place, especially on first Friday when the stores are open later, serving treats and beverages plus 10% off purchases.

Visit this garden rose before going to the International Rose Garden. It is smaller but just as beautiful with a large fountain in the middle. It's located in a residential area, so drive around and admire the beautiful house architecture and landscapes.

I happened on this hike when in a search from hotel room. Such a wonderful run/walk rich in history and views and trails. There is a little restaurant at the bottom for a quick bite when done

Exploring downtown Portland was very easy on the TriMet- Portland Streetcar. Ticket was $2.50 which allowed 3 hours of on and off access. Tickets can be purchased at the main stops. Streetcars are clean and information is listed in the car and announcements are made prior to each stop. Great was to see Portland without having to walk the entire city.
