Wild life and history of the island and its buildings. Central light was an amazing building. Ruins of the priory and amount of the sea birds and caves

Fantastic place which we've walked past a hundred times but never gone in before. Honestly could spend a whole day in here and still need to come back and see bits you missed. Enormous range of actual boats (including huge ones), installations, stories, equipment, photos, paintings and more. Social history of Scotland as much as a museum about catching fish.

This harbour is great. It has lots of boats and fabulous views to the Isle of may and here is the place you can get a boat trip there.

There is a decent shop here where all the money goes for a good cause. There is a museum which is free to enter which is fascinating.

This beach may be small, but it is my type of beach. Golden sands with shells. Great views everywhere you look.

We stopped here to see the new renovated Halls. It is a beautiful building now. Previously a major church in the area it has loads of history hidden in its walls. There is a scenic graveyard around the back of the building containing many historical graves, including a saint. the river runs round the back and there are some nice benches for a sit. Worth seeing if the queues for the Chip shops are too long!

Standing opposite the Cooperative supermarket where there is plenty of parking available . There are some really old gravestones in this large cemetery . There is also a War Memorial on site with its own garden and seating following the path straight in there is a round garden ahead .

This trail is a great way for kids to learn about the tiniest bits of space. It is interesting and you can get some steps in while learning about some space.

Gorgeous, even after the puffins have gone! So many interesting birds and seals. This was our fourth time on the trip -- a favorite activity with visiting friends. Crew on the boat is friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Highly recommend!

THE BEST! I had a wonderful time. My family and I did a sea safari around the island as it was not possible to board and walk around there due to the avian flu. Definitely don’t regret it! It is a great experience, I bet even better than the bigger boats that carry a lot of people. The trip to the island was very fun, also very intimate, with only 6 people and the skipper on board. It feels great to be so close to the water and exciting as it goes quite fast. Once we got closer, we saw a lot of beautiful birds, above us, around us, on the water, at the island. Defenitely an advantage to be so close to the water, as it allowed us to be close to the birds. Above all it was amazing to see the seals laying around or swimming in the water, looking at us, following us, that was really funny. The rocks of the island are all so beautiful. On the way back, we had a lot of rain, but well, it was quite adventurous. Definitely recommend!

I loved every minute of this candle making workshop, in a serenely peaceful setting in a studio in Anstruther.
A fabulous afternoon with three perfect strangers, sitting together, classroom style, creating simple yet beautiful scented candles.
We bonded over the session, talking scents and kids and other girly stuff.
Prosecco and scones, tea and coffee were served to us by our lovely teacher - Jo, who
Is truly generous and kind in spirit and soul. I adore my candles and will be back for more!
    What a tonic!

Fantastic trip out on Osprey this afternoon with Steve. Rather bumpy and a bit wet but superb trip. Saw many seals and lots of birds but too late for the puffins 🫣.

Brilliantly run centre in a stunning location at Cellardyke tidal pool looking out to the Isle of May. A great 1.5 hour session for family with 16, 14 and 10 year old. Mike was great at teaching the newbies amongst us what to do, as well as finding some challenges for the more experienced teens. We had booked for kayaking but Mike allowed us to try paddleboarding as well because he didn't have any others booked in, so it turned out to be particularly good value for money. Very safe because instructor stays in the water with you and they have all the equipment you could need (and all very clean and well looked after). Mike was really friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging to the inexperienced amongst us, and easy to chat to. An excellent family activity. Great little coffee pod nearby to have refreshments at afterwards. 10/10. Just make sure you book in advance - we've made the mistake 2 summers on the trot of not booking before our holiday and missed out. We were very happy we booked in advance this time!
