What travellers are saying
- Jimmy LFort Worth, TX11 contributionsI've stayed in hotel's in the most exotic of places, but Deer Valley Resort is only second to my vacation in Switzerland. I was there at the end of September and the tree's had just begun their transition to Fall. The mostly green mountain forest was punctuated with random patches of auburn and gold, signaling that Fall is on the way. Deer Valley at ANY time of the year is beautiful and full of experiences and things to do. Don't dismiss Deer Valley Resort as just a winter wonderland. Spring, Summer, and Fall in Deer Valley is just as spectaculr as the Winter.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nancy M3 contributionsI am in my 60s and not s bold as I was 40 years ago so this really had me going! It was wonderfully fun. Scary but doable. Recommend completely!Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PamC54Nashville, TN928 contributionsThe aspens were just as pictured here with their golden hues and rustling leaves. Quakies they are called by the locals. Bloods Lake trail is across the roadway from a parking area as you descend on the backway. The valley below was ablaze with yellow aspens and red maples. We were there in late September.Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- M&AEagleEagle, ID513 contributionsStayed in the Village at the Hyatt Park Centric for 4 days in late May. There are plenty of places to stay, dine and shop around here. Just a great area to walk around and “get your steps in." Very fun, relaxing and beautiful - even off-season with no snow. But … but … but … no snow is PERFECT, if it’s not for you!Written 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TallahasseeMarkTallahassee, FL493 contributionsLots of mixed vibes here. Must see. We visited it four times!
Variety of merchants/restaurants? Yes!
Park City prices? Yes!
I always like to support local businesses. My father owned a local business and supported us kids. I don’t mind paying a little more to shop/eat local, and some here fit into that mindset.
Some did not, but money may not matter to the wealthy.
Go. It is a wonderful experience. Splurge a bit. Enjoy the experience every day you are here.Written 8 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is presented in an engaging way, with much of it looking like a remodeled silver mine. We left feeling that we understood the city much better by visiting the museum. We were also inspired to go by and see the library.
A couple of tips: No restroom inside, but a decent public restroom is next door. Also, in the basement there is a table with a big book on it. Be sure to have a look. Like the Harry Potter newspaper, it's alive!Written 27 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My teens spent the day on the mountain bike trails (rental with helmet available $70). They said the trails are smooth & fast. The lift to the top ($30) was great.
There is indoor & outdoor seating areas. Bathrooms, food & drinks available.
Staff (Kevin at the front desk & Dylan in rentals) were helpful & friendly.

He helped me level up and get over my fear of certain death. Try seek him out, he surfs the mountain... some say you can periodically make out waves of snow on the mountain with him ripping barrels.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BusTraveler09Atlanta, GA128 contributionsWe did the Jordanelle Lookout Ride at Deer Valley - 2 Hour ride and it was amazing. The scenery was spectacular. The guides were very knowledgeable and made the ride enjoyable. One note - if you’ve not ridden horses before or if it’s been a while, riding for 2 hours will make you sore so plan accordingly. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.Written 4 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wheredidIjustwakeuptombittybumkiss27 contributionsAs long as you aren't headed up at 0845 this is a great lift albeit very slow. It will take you >15min to ride it, but it beats the resort lift every time. There is rarely a line later in the day. It has two major problems that are problems at many Vail resorts. Parking is extremely limited and there is no place to store your skis so you will probably be carrying them a long ways unless you are staying close. The city advertises the "Trolley" Don't count on it. Park City has so mismanaged the trolley that you will rarely see it and will almost never ride it. Some brilliant city manager also decided to have it turn at Grappa and go back to the train station and hang out. No one rides on Swede Alley and the locals and renters up the street from Grappa got screwed with this idiotic decision. It also did not run for all of Sundance, the busiest 10 days of the year and they stopped it April 1.Written 2 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - elliotnotsam2Park City, UT161 contributionssome of the best in bounds terrain in UT. - M&AEagleEagle, ID513 contributionsWe just happened to walk by here last week, while roaming around the Newpark area.
Interesting place to learn about the local/Utah ecology and its evolution over time. But …
An experience is always made special, when it’s introduced/explained by a special person. And that person was Bri, who enthusiastically welcomed us, as soon as we walked through the door. She has a vibrant personality that made the room even brighter, on a very sunny May morning. So, thanks, Bri! Glad we stopped by. But, your daily commute from Salt Lake - especially in the Winter? *ugh*Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
