Spas
What travellers are saying
- Robert LOttawa, Canada35 contributionsWe are in the area renting a cottage and I tried 7e Ciel for an early morning massage to end off our two week stay.
Kimberly gave a great massage, I think she wrote the chapter on modesty draping during a massage. She was discrete and very professional. While chatty up front the massage was tranquil (gentle music) and noiseless (my preference) and Kimberly seemed to notice. Great value.
Pulling up the building is a bit nondescript; but the inside is pleasantly furnished and decorated. Probably one of the largest massage rooms I have been in, plenty of room for the masseuse to maneuver.
I may have to rent the cabin again just to have her massage.
The site offers other spa activities; if they are as efficient as of as high quality it may be worth your time to try.
Highly recommended if you are in the area.Written 30 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Absolutely wonderful experience, just like the Costa Rica trip I took with them a few years ago…
The rivers were wonderful: crystal-clear water, surrounded by lush jungle, or by deep basaltic canyons with giant over-hanging ferns. Especially enjoyed hiking to a couple of put-ins, with horses carrying our kayaks 🤣. Jim is a great river guide, and there are rapids for every taste, including lovely waterfalls with soft landings.
But, beyond the rivers, the trip offered a wonderful immersion into the real, colorful Mexico that most tourists never see. Villagers riding donkeys laden with coffee and thatch; Christmas processions with bands and statues; quaint cobblestone streets; undiscovered beaches…
Great food: Jim is a spectacular cook. His Mexican-style salmon a la piña is a masterpiece! As are the camarones enchipotlados. And he is very careful about sanitation: unlike some visitors to Mexico, I had absolutely no stomach issues.
The accommodation in Jalcomulco is very cute (see my review of “Los Alcatraces”). And, when traveling in the wilds of rural Mexico, our lodgings were rustic, but always had character. Think cabins set on a bluff above the river, or old haciendas complete with a chapel.
Bottom line: can’t wait to take the next trip with Jim and Esprit!Written 5 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This waterway was part of the logging route and there is a small museum and information signs explaining how the log drives. The trail are rustic and if you have mobility issues these trails make not suit you.Written 14 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
