The tour guide in Niccarauga was very knowledge and fun to be with. We saw so many great areas of the country - the volcano national park was my favourite. I definitely would recommend this tour with Native Way.

Our family had a wonderful time on this tour. From pickup to drop off everything was perfect. Our guide, Abbott, was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed everything we learned at the museum and were blown away by the volcano. They timed the tour perfectly as we got to see the crater while it was still light out as well as after dark. We would totally recommend this trip to others.

My wife and I were on a vacation in Playa Hermosa and booked a day trip to Nicaragua and it was beyond amazing. Marlene, our guide, picked us up from the hotel early in the morning, and we started our private tour with a long but beautiful ride to the border of Nicaragua. She helped us with the boarding process, which only took a few minutes. Right after, we stopped and had a delicious breakfast. What a great way to start the day! We then went to see a no longer active volcano which was filled with water! What an amazing sight! Did some local shopping and then went to see the Masaya volcano! This is an experience you don’t want to miss!

Afterwards, we stopped in the city of Granada where we had a horse carriage ride, a chocolate making experience and then a magical boat ride to see some of the most amazing and beautiful monkeys. Then one final stop was a later lunch of our choice.

Everything was awesome and Marlene made us feel like we were family. Thank you, Marlene for this amazing day, I would highly recommend that everyone should visit Nicaragua, this is an experience you don’t want to miss!

I literally sent to them the night before and asked if they can manage a tour . They were very responsive and managed to make it happen. Tour guide, Julio, was on time, super friendly and kind. Took us everywhere. We went to Granada city and walked around, lake boat ride, volcano and the local market too. We even had a cup of coffee at Casa del Cafe. Listened to some local beautiful Nicaraguan music in the car…all this from 1:30-7:30pm! Thank you Julio!

What a great way to get to know more about Granada! I was booked to stay in Nicaragua for a month based out of Granada and thought taking a tour with Danny would be a great way to get to know my way around. This tour was amazing! I did the Granada Walking Tour (not La Isletas) and found the sites beautiful (many churches), tasty (Bate Bate Chocolate) and found the tour provided interesting insight into the history of Nicaragua and Granada. We stopped for lunch at the market and ate some vigoron. Highly recommend Danny as a guide! As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and also that I’d made a new friend! Gracias Danny!

I booked this tour to begin just a couple of hours after my arrival in Granada, and I don’t think I could have made a better choice. My tour guide, Fredder, picked me up in a van from my hotel and drove me our first destination, a very important cemetery on the west side of the town. From there we traveled east, stopping at each of the distinct and important landmarks along the way. Fredder was super knowledgeable about the history of Granada and Nicaragua. He also spoke wonderful English, so I was able to follow along and easily understand everything he was telling me. Along the way, he offered water and beer, ensuring my every need was catered to and that I was able to enjoy the experience to my liking. I’m not a fan of beer, so I only drank the water. But, I think offering both is a wonderful perk for this tour. After we climbed the bell tower at La Merced, we took a horse drawn carriage down to the shores of Lake Nicaragua, which was another wonderful way to see Granada. After that, he got back in the van and drove over to Central Park for the final part of the tour. I seriously can’t recommend this experience enough, as it was a truly amazing way to see and experience Granada. Another really amazing perk was that Fredder introduced me to people throughout the city that we crossed paths with including his English teacher, a famous poet in Granada, and a music teacher from Germany who has called Granada home for 30+ years. By the time the tour was done, I felt like I wasn’t just a tourist in the city but had became part of the fabric of Granada too.

This is a fabulously fun and informative experience. You will learn the historical and cultural significance of chocolate in Latin America from the pre-Colombian time through the present. Following this journey, you will make a cacao drink just like the indigenous peoples did, make the variation on drink in the way that the Spanish colonizers did, and then make your own chocolate bars. This is a hands-on experience, so be prepared to wear an apron and get your hands a little dirty as you have tons of fun making chocolate!

What an amazing activity! We kayaked through very calm waters and saw so many incredible colorful birds, and a few monkeys sleeping in the trees. Our guide Byron was very informative and pointed out all the birds and nature along the way. After the trip ended, we realized we had left behind one of our nice Hydro flask water bottles. Danny took the time to drop it off at our villa, which was incredibly nice of them can’t recommend this to our group enough!

What an amazing day trip to Nicaragua - A very well organised and packed fun filled day.

We had a private bus which picked us up from our hotel very early to take us to boarders to cross over to Nicaragua which is where we met our 2 lovely tour guides . We had a lovely traditional breakfast and then went on to visit Rivas, a local market, volcano Masaya which is an active volcano, this was the most amazing experience then they prepared lunch for us at a traditional Nicaraguan restaurant which was absolutely delicious.

We then visited a local chocolate factory to see the full end to end process of how chocolate is made before it ends up on the shop shelves. Following that we went on a horse ride around the town while they explained about the history of this beautiful country and to finish off we went on the most amazing boat ride where we visited monkey island and fed spider monkeys - this was by far my most favourite and fun filled excursion we have done and I would recommend this tour to anyone

We stayed overnight and saw the Masaya volcano at night! It was wonderful. Our guide was Gino and our driver on the Nicaragua side was Jr. Breakfasts and lunches were part of the tour price and we stayed at a great hotel La Gran Francia. We went to markets, took a boat ride in Lake Nicaragua around the islates de Granada. It was a great trip and I highly recommend it.

We loved this experience. The lake is beautiful and Danny organized everything for us. He is very knowledgeable about the area and where to spot animals. We also did Masaya volcano tour with him and both experiences were exceptional.

My wife and I completed 5 or 6 tours with Danny and his team while in Granada for a month. We were working remotely and Danny made it a breeze to plan weekend jaunts. Danny is super responsive and will help you plan custom itineraries easily. We really recommend!
