What travellers are saying
- Stephanie HYork, PA8 contributionsThis beach is beautiful! We jumped off the pier into a school of tropical fish. The sand is soft and the water was calm and clear on the 2 days we were there. We rented umbrellas and they do a great job securely placing those. The food trucks did not disappoint. There was a DJ one day.Written 23 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mary DPalatka, FL3 contributionsBeautiful beach and not to crowded on a Friday morning. Easy to get to and lots of free parking. Get there at low tide so you can take the hike to where the rock formations are. It's a very relaxing beach!Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GeneralShamuNew York City, NY1,114 contributionsNeed about 30-60 minutes in total here. Lovely ruins with a great view of the oceanfront. Off to the right (when facing the ruins/water) there is also an outlet to see the oceanfront/beach from another area and then some ruins covered in artistic graffiti. It was lightly raining with heavy gusts (ergo felt like a lot more rain than it actually was) so it was difficult to spend more time here.Written 26 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WPLandryFairfax, VA555 contributionsLovely beach and not overly crowded. We noticed there were more locals than tourists, which is nice. There is a nice swimming area where the water is calm and clear. Definitely a nice little beach to visit if you want a quieter place to swim.Written 21 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bernardo FNew York City, NY15,927 contributionsIt was a beautiful well kept beach. Great sand and views of the small bay and surrounding mountains. It was fairly clean and for a Sunday in August. It was very quiet because it's not very touristy here.Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GolosocriolloPuerto Rico150 contributionsEl Parterre is a nice little plaza in Aguadilla. Very simple and calm, a serene place most people don't understand de importance of it.
El Parterre is home of a beautiful centennial tree. El Parterre is also home of a water steam dated to Christopher Columbus is believe that the Columbus fleet replenished water onn this very stream during his second voyage, giving this enchanting plaza an historic vibe. It is a calm place with some picture opportunities. Once you know the history of the site it transforms to another vibe.
On the down side it needs a lot improvement, painting and such. But I loved it. Please visit if you are on the west side of the island.Written 4 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once you get down the first level of rocky walkway you can either go to the left or to the right. The right is a smaller beach with larger waves. Not great for small children. To the left is a dangerous, concrete stairway with no guardrail. There was a short jump at the end of the staircase to get down. I did not feel safe with two small children, so we opted to leave. I am not sure I could have gotten back up on the staircase without injuring myself. If you are young and adventurous-go for it. Make sure you wear your Keens or other sturdy shoes. We were bummed we could not get down because the water was absolutely amazing and calm - great for kids. I wish there was another way down there.Written 3 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GeneralShamuNew York City, NY1,114 contributionsThis is on the southbound side of the highway. Totally worth it to get a view of the entire coastline from above. When leaving, you can get back on the northbound side of the highway by driving to the next traffic light and making a U-turn (i.e. stay in the left lane when you pull out from here).Written 26 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carmen LCamarillo, CA153 contributionsThe spot itself is the northwest corner of the island meaning that you can see the north and west coast. Views are amazing whether you choose to walk, go in the water or simply watch. Many birds species to watch.Written 18 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
