This place is so amazing. Frank Jr is a fantastic narrator of the universe. I can tell he’s honed his craft over the years. You have to call/text to make reservations and he only has a few shows a week, but it’s so worth the effort. He’s put his heart and soul into this planetarium an entertaining/educating families.

In my title, I called this place a "museum village". What I mean is where there are several buildings involved - some authentic old structures, and some modern ones containing exhibits, plus some outdoor expositions and objects. This historical park contains an old depot and associated railroad buildings and rolling stock (like a Pede car, Caboose and a train). There is also a logging museum and a steam tractor. Also, there is an Antique Outboard & Boating museum, plus a garage with old firetrucks and some other vehicles, a CCC Museum, a One-Room School and more.

This place is a step back into history with a modern twist for the current beer market. We met friends here who live nearby and were able to have a nice visit with the employees who knew about the brewing legend as well as modern day brews to appeal to everyone. I enjoyed the Chocolate Bunny Stout, and my husband had the Chocolate Imperial Stout. Tucked into downtown Rhinelander, it is definitely a cool stop, not just for the beer, but for the history of the brand.

Appreciated the nice water temp. Liked having bathrooms and changing rooms. Plenty of room/picnic tables. Bottom was sandy, not rocky or mucky.

Easy to find once you found it. If you are into college football sport history this is a place where you can say: you have been there. Nothing exciting and just a plaque with his name and date on it. Enter at West entrance of Forest Home Cemetery, (two rock pillars on either side of the entrance), corner of Coon and Maine Street.. Turn east/left on 1st avenue (in the cemetery). Up 2/3rd of the block,( block 3), and then in 50 feet. Look for the large gray Donaldson stone. This is his wifes family plot. His plaque is on the ground just to the side of the stone

Perfect little hill when you don't feel like driving for an hour or more to ski. Fun place for the kids. Nice fireplace to warm up by. I'll get the season pass for next year.

What to see a monster up close & personal ? Outside the Chamber of Commerce building in Rhinelander, WI stands an enormous Hodag! He's always there & never moves unless You happen to be there on Sunday with a mud turtle, water snake, oxen or white bulldog that's all he will eat & only on Sunday. This Hodag is a statue from tales of Paul Bunyan era when lumberjacks spun great yarns. This 8 ft., colorful, creature is a perfect backdrop for photos, especially if you come dressed for Halloween, Share this adventure with family & friends back home & it's FREE! If you are in the area camping, fishing or enjoying the outdoors just drive over for a visit & see a Hodag, you sure can't miss seeing him,,,he's HUGE!

Played the front nine of this course on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The course is well maintained and was in very good shape. Loved the wide open tree lined fairways and well powered carts!! We also enjoyed a quick and tasty drink (bloody mary) and bite to eat (bratwursts, hamburgers) at the stand set up outside the club house!

Wonderful site listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1981. "Hodag" welcomes everyone at the front entry. Clerk of Court office has a brochure and beautiful postcards. Very informed staff to advise for self-tours.

Romantic wedding anniversary carriage ride to Three Coins. The new ownership clearly cares for their animals and customers. We had a scenic ride through the historic Holiday Acres property before dinner and the carriage was waiting for us when we finished our lovely meal. The drivers were incredible and knew so much of the history of the area. Our horse, Liz, was so sweet! I can’t wait to do this again in the fall colors!
