What travellers are saying
- Lynne HKelowna, Canada163 contributionsThis is a nice, wide sandy beach. Entry to the water is all sand but it gets very hot so surf socks are recommended so you don’t burn your feet. There is great snorkelling all along the beach but the best snorkelling is at Black Rock. If you go out around the point, there’s a shallow area with tons of fish. There are also lots of turtles that hang out just off the beach. The variety of fish is amazing: I even saw a moray eel. The surf can be very strong so I don’t recommend swimming when they have the red flags up but on calmer days, this is a great beach to swim and snorkel. There are lots of resorts along the beach and lots of amenities like restaurants, washrooms and showers. There is limited public parking that fills up before 8 am so expect to pay for parking unless you get there really early - I recommend getting there really early because the snorkelling is best first thing in the morning.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 42kRunHouston154 contributionsWell used trail from Ritz Carlton hotel about 1.75 miles in length, ending at the beach, There is a side spur leading down to the Dragon's Teeth park where wind/sea erosion has shaped volcanic rock to look like a row of teeth sticking up.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lotsagoldensSurprise, AZ726 contributionsI had never seen a banyan tree before and this was amazing! It's a whole block, a park that you can walk through and gaze up at this massive tree! There are signs everywhere that say "no climbing, no swinging" because who wouldn't want to? Cool shade and benches all over.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SaltLife70Florida491 contributionsWhen you're far away, wishing you can go to a place that is soothing; relaxing and close to everything. This is your spot. Wish it was longer. Beautiful Bay!Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joe B1 contributionSet your GPS for Punakea Palms and prepare to enjoy an entertaining and educational farm tour. Who knew that the coconut had so much to offer. You're invited to taste fresh coconut milk, taste coconut meat and learn how to make coconut milk and cream. The coconut coffee is very tasty and the view is spectacular. Well worth the fee.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- linda mSan Francisco, CA58 contributionsCute; easy to park, delicious restaurants especially Paia Market. Also good options at The Wharf and most tours take off from the harbor.Written 20 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lady76BugPhiladelphia, PA46 contributionsI stayed at the Best Western and Baby Beach is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Great little beach for being lazy all day. The shallow warm waters and view are just perfect!Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BriancLayton, UT10 contributionsBeautiful beach and excellent snorkeling. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. Got a little crowded but there was plenty of space to spread out on the beach.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 512stewartg124 contributionsThe drive from Kaanapali is a winding, scenic drive that provides a different experience than the beach views of west maui, and was an adventure in and of itself. Once we reached mile marker 38, we parked roadside and began the hike down to the Acid War Zone trail and the Nakalele blow hole. The hike is not a casual stroll, so good shoes are a must, but it is definitely worth the effort. The topography and views are amazing, and the experience affords a unique experience, very different from those normally associated with a trip to Maui.Written 6 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James C1 contributionMy family got to the tour super late, it was totally our fault but when I called the owner Heidi was very accommodating and really nice she was not physically there but she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. The person working there was Ashley she was super nice and friendly. She was also really kind and patient with my kids. She basically gave us a brief private tour and let our kids roam around to see the different animals. They could have been very dismissive and just been like "oh well, you should have come on time" but no like I said Heidi really made sure we got the experience we paid for.Written 4 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- J SFremont, CA15 contributionsWe had to drive here, and the hike is TREACHEROUS. However, the sunset was fantastic, as are the views. I'll do it again.Written 8 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- COACH TAWNYAFarmington, MN71 contributionsHubby went body boarding. Nice sandy beach. Great for surfing or boogie boarding. Big waves. Super long flight of stairs to get to beach but WORTH IT! :)Written 17 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Chelsea5 contributionsThis was such a neat trail! The views were like we were in Ireland. Except instead of grass, the rolling green was shrubbery. When you're close to the coast, the foliage changes every few 100 meters. It was so awesome. And an easy trail, our kiddos (11 and 13) had no issues and really enjoyed it as well!Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RainedOnInRedmondRedmond, WA83 contributionsDid Easter Sunday 2022 Mass here with the family. Lovely church, friendly people. And an easy walk to the touristy area of Front Street and the Banyan Court.Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
