This museum touches different sciences - biology (dissecting a cow's eye. seeing a chick's heart beating, shrimps), geology, physics (wheels, floating fabrics). So much to see and explore with kids. Worth the time and energy to visit!

After living here and visiting numerous times, I randomly found this while looking for an Uber drop off spot to walk to Baker Beach. While I did not see much of the inside, the building itself apparently lends itself to favorable lighting as I saw several non-pro model shoots. Cross the street, and you walk through a golf course and pick up the upper portion of Lands End trail on your left. Otherwise, keep right and you'll eventually hit China Beach or Baker Beach. Parking is limited, yet fairly easy and it isn't inundated with tourists.

I enjoyed a quick visit her for about 15 minutes. It’s free but the hours were only about 10-4. You can get a pass to ride cable cars all day for $13 which beats $8 per ride.

The de Young, designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron and located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, is the nation’s fifth most visited art museum. It showcases American art from the seventeenth through the twenty-first centuries, international textile arts and costumes, and art from the Americas, the Pacific, and Africa.
There was an outstanding flower show matching some art work during our visit.

Located on Fishermans Wharf and fairly close to the Alcatraz pier, this is an excellent business idea from the owner. It’s a range of old style arcade games - some dating back 100 years right up to more modern (late 20th century). It’s pinball, fighting games, shooting and driving games. Many of which you will have played as a kid. Excellent fun - no entry fee but of course you need your quarters to play.

The museum, which specialises in Asian history & culture has brilliant collection of Asian art.
There are thoughtful placements from various countries of Asia say China, Japan, Korea , India, Indonesia etc . Whenever we visit San Francisco, feel like visiting this place as it gives us immense pleasure.
Along with art galleries, the three floor museum has awesome amenities like cafe , shop/ boutique, children learning center, education center etc.
A worth visiting place to see Chinese, Japanese & Indian ancient arts.
The admission to museum is free on first Sunday of every month.
The front bench & staff is very cooperative.

great little find, as soon as you go inside you will be amazed how the crew lived and operated all those years ago, the smells, things to touch, sounds and feelings as you crawl through hatches and tight areas really send your senses wild, it felt very close and oppressive but we loved it.

We received a warm welcome with an informative introduction from a very nice gentleman who gave us a map and suggested route around the ship. It was good value for money and there was plenty to see with interesting facts and stories. Sections of the ship that I would not have expected to be open were, with my son and daughter able to climb onto one of the guns and move it around. My son has particular interest in naval history so this made his day.

We were on a road trip so bought our America the Beautiful National Parks Pass which is $80 and valid for a year. It meant that we could visit this and all the other National Parks on our trip and save a fortune in doing so. It was lovely to read the history of the boats and wander about without the crowds along the bay. A nice way to spend an hour or so.

Gregangelo and the team is one of a kind. The house is one magical thing, their generous hospitality another. Go there and find out how life also can be.

Past by randomly and the stagecoach caught our eye. Its free to walk around and they had some pretty interesting displays about the history of Wells Fargo and San Francisco. Worth a look if you have the time.

It was a rainy day so we opted to visit the waxworks. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be on my list, as I’m not a fan. But I admit I was surprised how good it was, especially if you interact with the exhibits for fun photos.
Liked Charlie Chan, Bruce Lee, Muhammed Ali, Johnny Depp, Adele, and all of the rest.
We had a good laugh and enjoyed our time there.
