Beautiful surroundings for a fabulous museum! This is a treasure trove of medieval art. We spent the better part of a day there. Pack a bag lunch, as we found the little restaurant expensive & not very good—& we aren’t hard to please!

The history of two centuries ago and the history of two decades ago draws one to this little chapel. No grandeur. No pomp and circumstance. Just a quiet place that was available throughout history for those in need of a place to feel God.

We took a tour of the catacombs at this church and then decided to explore the church on our own, and were so appreciative of the opportunity! This church is located in the heart of downtown NYC but somehow seems to be constantly overlooked, which is a shame. It was the original cathedral of the Archdiocese of New York before the Catholic population grew too large for the building, and the love shown to this church really shows in the attention to detail. The history of the church is interesting, and also a bit sad, given the number of unnamed bodies buried here (due to the rampant poverty in the area at the time). Unfortunately, this church is frequently overlooked in favor of the larger cathedral on Fifth Ave, which is a shame, given the aura of spirituality surrounding the building. If you have the chance, please take a tour of the catacombs as well, they're fascinating.

A lot smaller then St Patrick’s Church but still worth to visit. Don’t miss the visit where Alexander Hamilton is buried. And we visited in June 24th 2022 and they still asked for you to wear mask and were checking your vaccination records.

It's been under construction for a while, but the interior is beautiful to see. It's $5 for tourists to visit, to help with the upkeep of the place. There are some really interesting on each side of the cathedral about current affairs and social issues.

St.Thomas probably does play second fiddle to St Patricks which is just down the street. Never the less, this is also magnificent and worth a visit.

The memorial at ground zero has left a lasting impression on me and only increased my sense of solidarity, even though I'm not an American or have any sort of deeper story or connection to the events, other than the common sadness and shock everyone felt around the world. I liked the quietness, the messaging and the symbolism of the memorial and felt the execution of it very dignified and tasteful.

Riverside Church is a magnificent structure and an inspiring house of worship, especially when they have the handbell and choir concerts. The Church is situated adjacent to a park along the Hudson River offering a wonderful sunny day outside venue.

As we walked towards the Manhattan Bridge I ducked into this small temple. It was a little outside Chinatown but a good stop.

It was open to all visitors and besides a couple of caretakers there was only one other visitor.

As I entered there was the gift shop and waiting area.

Walking towards the altar I passed by a wall of remembrance. They emphasized not taking any photos here.

Along both walls were individual frames detailing step by step in the life and conversion of Buddha. It was worth reading each one. Sacrifice, tolerance, teaching and many other themes were explored.

The altar and large Buddha statue was well organized. It was quiet and serene except when the other person in the room decided to play the drum and had to be chased away by one of the caretakers.

I had the joy and honor of attending a conversation with Lin-Manuel Miranda and others in this beautiful temple. I was pretty far back, but I could still hear and see everything clearly. It was a popular enough event that the lines to get in wrapped around the building, but once it got moving, it was pretty fast.

St. Bart’s church is a fantastic building on the corner of 50th and Park Avenue. Covid restrictions are still in force. Well worth a visit.

We came here three times during our stay in NYC, all three times for organ concerts (which are referred to as meditations). Patrick Allen, the organist is very good and uses the organ to its best effect while he plays through either the Bach pieces or other works. All concerts are compelling and worth a listen whether you’re meditating or just listening. Be sure to take the tour of the church as well—it’s history is fascinating.

The visitor-line of Tourist is awful and most of them are not informed on the rules of the church. Songs were nice, its a regular church and should be handled as so.

This is not actually what we expected, all public is full of tourists, you are not going to be seated among local people. They create a queue of tourists in the street and a person, in a very very bad manner, says that everybody have to pay 10$ at the door. As you are not visiting a real gospel and singers don't look professional, you can keep you money and use it for a professional performance.
