This is an incredible piece of history and so emotional.
The only building in the area to escape with no damage not even a broken window.
Such a focus of sanctuary on that terrible day.
So much to see and absorb , well worth paying for a tour so you don't miss anything.
    Wow !

WOW -- such a beautiful church and amazing that there is no cost to tour. The stained glass windows are gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to get to hear one of the clergy practicing on the organ and that wqs FAB!! The church and adjoining rooms, have some beautiful paintings, sculptures, etc. - not to mention the outside graveyard lets you see Alexander, Eliza, and Phillip Hamilton’s resting place. I definitely recommend stopping in Trinity Church the next time you are near Wall Street and the 9/11 memorial.

It's the largest cathedral I've ever seen. We stopped after seeing this huge building to take some snaps of it during the city tour.

This is a beautiful Cathedral and worth a visit. It has a beautiful altar, stained glass windows and paintings. If you visit, be sure to look near the side entrance at the large statue of Saint Padre Pio sitting and listening to confessions. There is a block on the other side of the “confessional” statue where a person can sit. Unfortunately, it was behind a locked gate, but you can still view it through the gate.

On Fifth Avenue, St Patrick's Cathedral gets all the attention and understandably given the sheer size of the church but down the street are other beautiful and historic churches. St Thomas is an Episcopalian Church. Rebuilt in 1915 after the previous church was destroyed by fire. The architecture is late Gothic Revival. I was able to admire the exterior only, but photos of the interior appear beautiful and worth a look inside.

The memorial at ground zero has left a lasting impression on me and only increased my sense of solidarity, even though I'm not an American or have any sort of deeper story or connection to the events, other than the common sadness and shock everyone felt around the world. I liked the quietness, the messaging and the symbolism of the memorial and felt the execution of it very dignified and tasteful.

The Mahayana temple is located at the entrance to Manhattan Bridge. The building is somewhat plain from the exterior. Worth a look inside.

Riverside Church is a magnificent structure and an inspiring house of worship, especially when they have the handbell and choir concerts. The Church is situated adjacent to a park along the Hudson River offering a wonderful sunny day outside venue.

The Central Synagogue in New York City is on Lexington Avenue in the Midtown area of Manhattan.

From the outside it is a trying magnificent building with lots of intricate parts. It is really nice to admire.

The architecture outside and inside the church is quite impressive. The stained-glass windows are quite beautiful. It is worth taking a few minutes to go inside and take a few pictures.

My first Jummah in another country.

The Mosque was smaller than I’d thought it would be, but came in plenty of time to get a nice place to sit and read.

It was only a few blocks from where my hotel was, so I walked my way there on a summery day.

The Imam was African and made sure to let us know of that even in the Khutbah, which was in Arabic and English - reflecting the diversity of the people in the mosque which was great.

An amazing edifice on the Upper West Side. The church is an architectural jewel, with classic art work. However, the most attractive element is the care of the local clergy. Founded by Isaac Hecker, their sermons and liturgies are sensitive, contemporary, and engaging.
If you wake up early while visiting Manhattan, and you would like to start your day off with prayer, consider a visit.
