We spent time in Central Park every day during our four days and only saw a little bit.
There are lots of food trucks lining it to grab food for a picnic.
The conservatory gardens are really north but lovely.
The reservoir is a great place for a run with locals.
We enjoyed breakfast at the Le Pain Quotidien by sheep’s meadow.
Every bridge, every small body of water, every tree lined area and every meadow was lovely.
We walked across it after dark and stayed to well lit paths and didn’t feel unsafe and got to see fireflies!
So many cute dogs going for walks.
    We also saw several rats.

This is a must see in NYC for me. This is an oasis in the busy city and gives a wonderful respite. We walked the whole length but there are plenty of places to get off and on.

I thought we’d be disappointed going during the day instead of at night to see the lights. But it was fun.
We stopped in Sardis to see the caricatures, tried to find a charger at the Target and then followed the sea of humanity up the red steps to people watch for a bit.
Lots going on. We avoided the characters and the ‘Trump promoting naked cowboy’ and watched the dancers from a far as well as people from all over the world and all the ads on screens. A little less than an hour was plenty. We began in Bryant Park and left by subway to the peaceful High line.

It offers excellent views of the City. The open air outdoor deck offers unrestricted view of three sides. We can see the Western side (Hudson river & NJ) from the indoor viewing area. We can relax and watch the city sitting on the Skyline gallery seats. The glass floor (a small section of the outdoor deck) offers a thrilling view below our feet. Edge observatory deck is at Level 100. The ticket prices (~ $46) are at par with the rate we pay for the deck at 86th floor of Empire State whereas we need to pay $79 for 102nd floor access in empire State.

One issue with Edge is that finding the entrance was a bit difficult even with google map. Once we enter, we see just a shopping mall without any information about the deck access. That makes us wonder if we have come to a wrong section of the building. Upon enquiry we understood that it was the right place and we need to go to level 4 to get the elevator to the deck. Reaching the elevator was also difficult due to the confusion caused by maze like route at level 4.

Necessary sign boards should be placed.

One of the very wide north-south avenues in Manhattan, most famous for the Midtown skyscrapers that house big corporations. Some fancy restaurants for those on expense accounts. At the lower end you have the West Village.

Seventh Ave is a safer avenue for a walk after dark. There are many tobacco and cannabis shops along the way. Less of a marijuana smell than Eighth Avenue. Plenty of quality eateries and discount pizza.

I went here with a friend and we walked half-way across the bridge. There are good views of the Harlem River but it is difficult to take pictures due to the tall chain-link fencing on each side. The pavement design changes mid-way across indicating the division like between Manhattan and The Bronx. It's a good place for a walk on a nice day.

A cool perspective on Central Park from this area. A very relaxing and peaceul spot. Not necessarily easy to get to, but pretty cool part of the park.

We happened upon Shorakkopoch Rock as we were exploring the park, and wow, what a find. We enjoyed reading the history of the rock and it spurred a wonderful conversion and a fun dive into researching the area, this specific story and the subsequent result of what happened here. Highly recommend.

General Worth Square is a nice square near to Madison Square. Nice memorial and it is a good place to take a photo. Recommended.

Not everyone knows but you can make your way from 51st to 57th through the buildings in midtown. It's a nice way to avoid some of the crazy tourist midtown traffic

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Plenty of horse drawn carriages and usual New York stuff but nothing special about this plaza.

Small Square off 72nd Sq Subway (1, 2 and 3) lines. Nice spot to relax, eat lunch, breakfast, dimner or snack on a bench or wait for your subway or bus to arrive.

Eighth Avenue is not glamorous. Your on the border of west midtown and Hell's Kitchen. There are seedy bars. drug dealers, motorcycle gangs, etc. It explains the extra large police presence.
