    Review of: Central Park
    The Park
    A soothing place of nature in this noisy and mineral city. The north of the park is quieter, and we didn't see any pushcarts or horse-drawn carriages that can't take it anymore like in the south of the park.

    Review of: Washington Square Park
    The Village Central park
    This is a nice square size park in the center of beautiful Greenwich Village. It's famous for the NYC Triumphal Arch and a nice fountain in the middle.
    Park is always full of people so it's a nice place to people watch - street performers, chess players,... Mostly there's younger generation, as all around are NYU student blocks.
    However, at night it becomes little bit sketchy so do take extra care - heavy weed smell and suspicious people despite heavy police presence.
    Plenty of very good and cheap eateries around in the side streets.

    Review of: Roosevelt Island
    Sail to it, explore, then fly from it
    This was my third time in NYC, but the very first time I've visited RI.
    We were very delighted with our visit we planned beforehand, so I advise this itinerary.
    Take the Astoria Line (AS) ferry boat from Pier 11 in lower Manhattan. That's the starting point, but you can also catch it from other stations in Manhattan and Brooklyn as well (2 stations on both sides - Google the stops).
    However, I suggest taking it from the starting point at Pier 11 as you will be rewarded with amazing (and very cheap - 3,25 $ pp) city views from East river for around 30 min what it takes to reach RI.
    Disembark at RI and explore it. Great views of Manhattan skyline, nice walk by the river to the FDR freedom park and smallpox ruined hospital. You can also take the red bus which takes you to the northern tip of RI where's the lighthouse.
    When finished take the RI Tramway cable car to transfer back to Manhattan, seeing the area from bird's perspective.
    Count on around 2-3 hours for a memorable visit with a budget slightly over 5$ pp.

    Review of: Hudson River Park
    Must visit
    It’s simply awesome. Nice views . Calming . Can sit here for hours together and enjoying the Hudson River waves ,boats and ships . Sunset over New Jersey is fantastic.

    Review of: Union Square
    Nice break in the landscape
    With some may high rise buildings is nice to get a break in the skyline which you find with union square. Lively area and recommended for a visit.

    Place of remember
    It is very moving especially when you see all these names written and the images of September 11 come back in memory. Even if we don't know these people it's very moving, but beautiful at the same time

    Beautiful Park
    We walked through the park to get from The Met Cloisters down to the street level. The views were beautiful and the park was so peaceful. We enjoyed our leisurely stroll.

    Review of: Conservatory Garden
    Under construction and renovation but can still walk around the outskirts
    I went to the Central Park Conservatory for the first time since the pandemic and the core of the gardens are under renovation.

    You can still walk around the perimeters of the gardens and see the trees and lawn. The fountain off to the side surrounding by those gardens was still open and it was nice to walk around. The flowers were in full bloom.

    It will be nice to see the end results with the gardens when it is finished.

    Review of: Riverside Park
    riverside park
    I recently discovered this park along the Hudson river - it's the perfect place to walk, bike, jog, and take a break from the city. There are dedicated pedestrian and bike paths along the river with beautiful views of the GW bridge. At different points during the day you'll see performers and artists sharing their work throughout the park.

    Not a big zoo fan ….
    Central Park Zoo is quite amazing as it’s in the middle of a major city. Believe it has 1400 animals. Big zoo covering a lot of ground.

    Review of: New York Harbor
    Lovely Views from Our Ship
    Our ship docked in Brooklyn right on the harbor, so from our balcony we could admire the Statue of Liberty and the skylines of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City. Long been an important part of the commerce of the region, also a transport hub. Now holds lots of natural beauty.

    Review of: Hamilton Grange National Memorial
    Important Site but needs investment
    Very interesting site. Casual and pleasant guides. Very little of the house open for visit and house needs better upkeep. Visitor center was closed due to staffing shortages. More money needs to go into the site given its historic importance.
