    Smooth and easy
    We exited the Subway at Southferry and walked straight into the Staten Island Terminal and straight into the 0830 departure.

    We enjoyed the views from both sides in the hurricane deck there and back. On the way back we also spent a little time at the front of the ship, but it was very congested.

    You can get good views of Liberty island on the way to Staten Island. You’re slightly closer on the out than on the return.

    The return ferry front area was very congested. But if you want that Manhattan shot it’s the place to be.

    Quick activity to check out!
    Highly recommend checking this travel option out! Line moves pretty fast (must have metrocard), views were great and Roosevelt Island is a nice place to walk around.

    We were impressed
    As folks who use the London Underground a fair bit I was impressed with the New York subway on our visit this weekend
    Maps and line descriptions a bit confusing - especially working out which train stops at what stations, but we worked it out
    Lots of staff
    Felt safe
    Clean I thought too

    A GREAT WAY TO NAVIGATE NEW YORK
    During a recent visit to Manhattan, my daughter, who has resided in East Village for five years, took me on a walk around Manhattan but showed me how easy and convenient it was to use the NY Ferry service to get around. It not only gets you to other parts of the city in good time; the scenic views of lower Manhattan; Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges, makes it a wonderful experience. While my daughter was working, my wife and I took an M15 bus from East Village to the Rockefeller Center on 50th street. When we decided to return to Chinatown where we were staying, my wife and I walked the 13 blocks to 37 street; walking past the United Nations Building and onto 34 street pier to catch the NY Ferry to the Wall Street pier 17. Since it was a sunny afternoon, the scenic view of the Manhattan skyscrapers were awesome. Now that I have the experience of using the NY Ferry service, I am very confident I will utilize this service much more on our subsequent trips to New York.

    Always Professional!
    I have booked with NYC Perfect Transportation on many occasions over the past couple of years. The service is always professional, clean cars, and Donny makes sure we are always taken care of, no matter what the adjustment(s). Thank you for being consistently amazing!

    Brilliant service
    We found this after other Tripadvisor reviews. We wanted a service that was reliable and came at a fixed cost (having heard horror stories about others over charging etc). It was really easy to book, the drivers were polite, professional and friendly and everything was bang on time. Cars were spacious and comfortable. Great communication with Vinny and his team. Can't recommend these guys highly enough - well worth it for a super easy transfer and a great start/end to a holiday.

    OK system, but SmartLink is not a good deal for occasional visitors to NYC.
    We are visitors who stayed in Jersey City and spent the weekend in NYC. I wanted to offer our specific feedback regarding PATH's SmartLink cards, as out-of-towners who visit NYC once in a great while.
    - SmartLink cards are much more expensive than the MetroCard cards used for NYC transit.
    - MetroCard works on PATH trains.
    - SmartLink does NOT work on NYC transit (MTA buses, NYC subway).
    - PATH has a very limited number of stops in NYC.
    As a visitor, you will likely use PATH twice a day, likely to land either at the WTC or at 33rd & Broadway, then, likely, you will walk hours because Manhattan is an awesomely walkable place, and, likely, you will wish you could take a bus back to that PATH station that is hours away.
    SmartLink is good for commuters, visitors should use MetroCard.

    Only good if it is a first trip to NYC or heading to Javitz or Intrepid
    My son had a day off from school so I took the day off from work and got us tickets to the Intrepid so he wasn't home all day staring at a screen. I never take the ferry across the river because the train or the tunnel (if driving) are much more convenient and cheaper. The downtown stop is a better stop closer to the action but the midtown stop is only good if you are going to Javitz or the Intrepid.

    The cost is too much, the journey is on a less frequent schedule than the train and the parking at Port Imperial is also too much.

    So yeah, if this is your first time or if you are a local showing someone the city, this is a nice journey. If you want in and out quickly, take a train.

    Highly Recommend Precision NY
    Made our second trip to NYC this last weekend and used Precision for our airport transfer to and from our hotel in Manhattan. We also used them on our first visit. They were great. Would highly recommend using their services. Each time the vehicles are very clean and the drivers are timely and attentive. I received a text message as soon as our plane touched down at JFK. Upon collecting our luggage, Vik met us at the curb to pick us up. He was on time and courteous. On our way from the hotel to the airport Khuram picked us up. He was great as well. He was on time (early) and got us to JFK timely. Would recommend again and again for your airport transfers.

    Awesome New Buses
    We chose to ride the buses on our trip. The electric buses are very nice with Wi-Fi and USB ports. Seating is more comfortable with more ergonomic curvature.

    Smooth transfer from LGA to Manhattan
    We got a strecth limo tranfser to our hotel from LGA when we arrived in NY and it was a great start to our Big Apple experience. Our driver Maribel made contact as soon as we landed and we got picked up straight outside the baggage claim area. Great value and loved having everything included up front (tolls and tips). Definitely recommend them., our kids loved it!

    The New Extension
    This modern extension of the system had received a lot of publicity and it sure took a long time to build. So I was happy to ride it. Very crowded and much-used, so I guess it is much-needed. The stations are big and clean, but not well-decorated. Much deeper than other stations, so the escalators were very welcome.
