Flatiron district is a bustling part of New York City and the highlight of the district, is the namesake building. The Flatiron Building is unique and makes for a rare sight. It is located in a heavily trafficked neighborhood with a number of restaurants, shops and Madison Square Park. Unfortunately during our visit, a portion of the building was covered in scaffolding, but the building still looked magnificent. It isn't nearly as tall as a number of other skyscrapers, but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in shape.

I wouldn't recommend going to the area just to see the building alone (there are a number of tourist attractions and eateries nearby), but if in the area, this is definitely worth a stop. The well-known Eataly is located opposite the Flatiron Building. Madison Square Park adjacent to the Flatiron Building is a great place to sit and take in some excellent views of the building!

With some may high rise buildings is nice to get a break in the skyline which you find with union square. Lively area and recommended for a visit.

Great market to walk through. Lots of local produce on offer plus other bits and bobs. We came through here on a Saturday and it was very busy. Worth a visit if your visiting the union square park anyway.

A great place to stop after you walk the city and/or visited the NYC library. Lots of benches and shade. A nice playground and a dog park. Plenty of food shops and coffee placed around.

While tickets can be a bit pricey, it's a fantastic place to visit with close friends. Not only is the museum highly educational, it has some picturesque photo stops and lots of fun games. A great way to remind yourself not to take things too seriously while having fun with friends, as well as a great way to see some cool objects that shaped the modern sexual imagination.

A great NPS historic site seeing the birthplace and childhood home of US President Teddy Roosevelt and lots of displays about his early life.

A great museum to put real life visualizations to classic math and physics problems. It's much more suited to children, but it's fun to go regardless. It's an absolute must-visit for those who love math and physics. For artists, there's also beautiful artistic renditions of mathematical equation interpretations.

Located just off union Square this is an interesting and sizeable shop. The name doesn’t really do it justice as I was expecting something more of lower end.

Visited this wonderful building with my wife and were lucky enough to take part in a tour hosted by Bro Louis Cooper. He was so informative and passionate about both Freemasonry and the building.

The lodge rooms are jaw dropping. The scale and decor are beautiful.

Well worth a visit for Masons and non Masons alike.

The Tiffany Clock is close to the Flatiron Building. It’s a really nice piece and the inscription on the side is worth reading (see photo).

So we were very disappointed by the Food & Wine Festival particularly with the food selection at the Grand Tasting event on 10-12-19. The food was prepared by vendors (mostly local grocery stores like ShopRite or Citarella's) and local restaurants. We went mainly for the cooking demos by the celebrity chefs which we loved. We tried to hit a few food booths before and in between the demos, but all the food we tasted was horrible. The pizza we tried was cold; the lobster gnocchi i tried was good but cold; Brazilian truffles were yummy; there was some rum chocolate cake which was horrid; my husband hated all the burgers and chips or fries. The food was definitely a let down. The gift bags were neat and had bruschetta crackers, green tea cookies, apple baby squeeze pouches, some cappacinos in a can, and a few other items. The demos were fantastic and loved the Food Network Chef citings.

Christopher park occupies a central and unusual intersection of about six streets in central New York City. Eclectic and electric are just a few of the worlds to describe the pulse of this location, especially in the evening. Love it or hate it kind of place.

This building is one of my favorites in Manhattan. I really like the architecture. It stands out from a distance or close by.
