What better way to start a marriage than to see that you as a couple are both part of a much larger world? My new spouse and I enjoyed the views from the top of the Empire State Building.

Witnessing the Manhattan skyline is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people. it is breathtaking and one needs to see it at least once in their lifetime, no matter at what time of the day - in the early morning, on sunrise, at high noon, on sunset, or in the evening - it is always spectacular!

This went beyond my expectations. When visiting the Treasures display, I felt like I was at the Smithsonian! I was stunned and amazed at some of the items on display! And it was free!!

    ...London, Paris, New York.
Each of this world metropolis has its own famous department stores, and they have many branches all over the countries, but only one is the main from which it all began.
That's the case with this Macy's at Herald square on 34th St, just a block from the iconic Empire State bldg.
We didn't come to shop, just entered and roamed this huge edifice occupying the entire block. You can find everything you might think of, however cannot comment the prices - I presume they're higher than elsewhere.
Therefore, it was a pure touristy visit for us after visiting the Empire.

While the crowds are huge and it requires arriving very early for even a chance at the front lines, it's magical to watch the floats come down if you can. If you live nearby or has a friend who lives around the route, watching from the windows while it's warm inside with food and drink is ideal.

  • PROS
    • Famous because of the song
    • So centrally located in midtown Manhattan
    * Adjacent to Empire State Building and Macy’s and on Broadway
    • Seats and tables in pedestrian areas

    CONS
    • Not much else of tourist interest here

    “I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
… on my path of walking excursion of 26,308 steps of midtown Manhattan. Others had informed me that there was not much notable there, and they were correct.

    TIPS
See it if you are there and pass by it. Certainly do not make a special trip to be there.

This Place is like a speakeasy for magicians and anyone looking to explore deeper into NYC. I personally love magic and for anyone else that does this place is a must visit if your in NYC. BUT this shop is for sure not limited to those that love magic it if fun for the whole family. with great magician like Nick on site and regular events and visits from bigger magicians in the game. The museum basically built into the shopping experience is a fantastic plus as well. Over all fantastic place and I will go here every single time I visit NYC.

It was a great experience. The only issue was people taking there time on photos;so lines where long. There were no employees to keep the flow flowing. Not worth the 55 dollars but glad we got some cool pictures.

This mall has just a few stores. The location is prime. It could be much better with more stores. Definitely great for a early morning "mall walker".

Can get very busy in this times square location there's 3 floors of shopping with the usual H and M clothing with a sale section.

There are two other stores 1 on 5th and one near Macy's on 34th street both were bigger and less busy we preferred shopping at these locations.

Visited this wonderful building with my wife and were lucky enough to take part in a tour hosted by Bro Louis Cooper. He was so informative and passionate about both Freemasonry and the building.

The lodge rooms are jaw dropping. The scale and decor are beautiful.

Well worth a visit for Masons and non Masons alike.

34th Street is a pleasure to walk. At around 10am, we felt like we had the street to ourselves. Plenty of shopping but not as luxurious as Fifth Avenue or 57th Street. A good amount of eateries and yes, Macy's.

We stopped by Kinokuniya and the Cafe Zaiya on the second floor on our second day in the city. We left with a few unique items and wishing we had more time to explore the store. The unique, robust collection of Asian books, magazines, comic books, and collectibles - particularly upstairs. The downstairs appeared to be a more traditional book store. My only concerns were that the book store was crowded - even with a line to get in the door, and that the bathrooms were down - replaced with a sign directing you to the park across the street. The store also had fairly long lines to make your purchases. Still - many will find this store a rare treasure.
