I hesitated visiting. As a Long Island resident, I did not wish to re-live the experience. Finally, I said it's time to go and I'm glad I did. The Museum is a tasteful tribute to our Country and to all those injured and lost. Take the tour; I found it very helpful.

Really enjoyed this chance to see NYC from a level up. Lovely planting all the way along and some interesting sculptures. It was rammed - much busier than the street below but still very enjoyable and there are plenty of sitting points along the way to catch your breath and relax. Lift access at various
    points and clean toilets

We were not overwhelmed by the view or the "exhilarating" elevator ride. That said, we're glad we went. Views of Manhattan , Jersey, Brooklyn are always fun!

We took this free ferry and saw the statue of liberty and had gorgeous views of the skyline of Manhattan and a lovely boat ride

A quaint area and well worth a visit. A part of New York so different than the main tourist area/attractions. Credit cards accepted in most places.

Honestly… the whole thing is such a rewarding experience. This is such an interesting and important historical building and the audio and visual tours have been arranged so incredibly well. From the ferry ride over and back from battery island, this is such a positive and welcoming experience. The needs and comfort of the weary tourist have been carefully thought through and you can wander around at your leisure in air conditioned environment with so, so much of interest to see and learn.

Went on walking tour. Interesting history. Iron buildings. Swanky expensive shops
Food expensive. Clean and tidy place.

Zena was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide. We took the “Working Women” tour, which was a good mix of general information about immigration and tenements and information specific to the theme.

This pleasantly green and well sized park was full of life when we passed through on a nice warm Tuesday afternoon.

There is an impressive fountain and the main sight being the mini Arc de Triumphe replica.

There is also a well sized dog park.

    Free to enter.

There is just something about the West Village that brings me back in every trip to the city. A perfect escape from the madness of midtown, the West Village and its cool tree lined streets are the perfect place for a bit of respite from the crowds.

The West Village has some great movie and TV sights such as the Friends building on Bedford St. couple that with some of the best eateries in the city, I’d definitely recommend a good walk through the area!

We had the opportunity to talk directly to the Workshops' founder, Gary Suson. At the time, we were in New York City for a 5 day trip and we had seen already a lot of the major sites. We had planned a special day for 9/11. We didn’t know was that his Workshop was closed Sunday-Tuesday, and we expected we would have to miss it. Instead, he returned our call and invited us to come over and set up a personalized tour with one other family. We jumped at the chance.

I did voice my concerns about the content for our kids, who are 4, 6 and 10 yrs old. Gary reassured us that no jarring audio or graphic images would be presented that might upset them. His content primarily chronicled the experiences, artifacts and memories of the rescue teams who searched for months (through all kind of conditions) for survivors or their remains. It was so unique as Gary told his story of being there, taking photographs and working alongside so many brave people.

The kids were very attentive in good part because there are so many ways to learn – an audiovisual introduction, an interpersonal conversation and a kinesthetic opportunity. That’s right – Mr. Suson allows you to touch or hold several artifacts, including rare window glass or metal from the building’s support beams. Frankly, you won’t have that opportunity at the 9/11 exhibit! He graciously answered questions and gave us plenty of time to have a meaningful and personal experience amongst his collection. And he’s a darn good photographer, too.

Such a life changing place to see in person. The names in stone, the water flowing down, and the entire courtyard area around Tower 1 will move anybody to tears I think.

Fantastic views and loved the lift ride, very clever how it tricks your brain. Don’t want to spoil the surprise but if you are videoing the movie they show at the top when you exit the lift, make sure you keep recording to the end!

One of the most striking skyscrapers of an early 20 century era along with the Empire State building and Chrysler.
Terrific Gothic style high rise of a trade magnate close to NYC City Hall and its park, as well the Brooklyn bridge.
