We signed up for the 9 am guided tour "before the public" - and it did not disappoint. They have done a tremendous job on this museum and it is hard not to get teary eyed when visiting this memorial. Well worth the visit

Museums have paved the way in education to remember and persevere our history. With that being art from the middle ages, sarcophagus from Egypt, or cloths from the 1800s.
The culture shock you get when you walk from one exhibit room to the next is bizarre.
Museums are important because without them we can’t experience life from other centuries. Experiencing life from other centuries educates us. Without the education from other countries and learning from the past we are bound to make mistakes so it’s important that we open our minds, shut our mouths and listen to what history has to say
we are able to see the past, and actually visualize it we can sensitize with it. In the Met you can see armor they used in the middle ages, you can see the gate they had to hold in the castle to keep the royal family safe from battle. Seeing that, you can vizualise it and put yourself in their shoes
You need to experience the temperature change when you go from the Egyptian section with a wall of windows to the downstairs basement with historical Met gala dress and fashion.
Being able to stand at the main entrance, people bustling around everywhere like bees, looking up and seeing famous mosaics I only had seen in pictures in person is a holy experience.
The Met has incredible things that reach over 6,000 years and span over the entire globe. From Egypt, China, France, Syria, and more. The widely diverse collection in the Met helps a student not only go back in time but also to travel across the world without leaving the state.
With this kind of education, we get to learn so much about other countries.
like the Met, museums help us understand people from all over the world.
I believe museums should be celebrated more. We need museums to preserve our history, remember it, and educate us.
To sum up, the Met is astronomically helpful to the community and to the future to help persevere and educate us as we move forward.

A soothing place of nature in this noisy and mineral city. The north of the park is quieter, and we didn't see any pushcarts or horse-drawn carriages that can't take it anymore like in the south of the park.

Unmatched views of NYC. Pick a time when the air is clear for the best views. Make advanced reservations. Quick elevator to the viewing levels.

We bought the pedestal ticket and it was worth it! Definitely don't miss this iconic statue! The ferry ride is only about 20 minutes

Offers great views of NYC and Brooklyn. A little crowded at times with people and vendors but worth the walk. Easy subway access

This picture of postcard, nobody can pass by, impossible to miss this point of view. we were lucky to have
a clear sky and I specify the ideal place: from the ferry to Staten Island and from the Brooklyn Bridge.

I recommend visiting it at least twice, once when its rush hour to get in the real mood of Grand Central and its beautiful chaos with the crowds trying to leave Manhattan, and another time when its off-peak hours, to see the building and its beautiful architecture.

Beautiful surroundings for a fabulous museum! This is a treasure trove of medieval art. We spent the better part of a day there. Pack a bag lunch, as we found the little restaurant expensive & not very good—& we aren’t hard to please!

We loved riding the ferry! We did it once in the day time and once as the sun was setting. Great view of the Statue of Liberty! The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that you cannot just ride over and then immediately ride back. So you have to sit there for 30 min to wait for the next ferry.

We were joyfully surprised and raptured by a host of historical treasures on display at the library. While we did not take the paid tour, our experience here was unforgettable. Something in this well curated collection will stir your passion of history, cultural awakening. and science. Thank you to the the staff and benefactors. It was my mini Smithsonian in New York.

This is an amazing piece of architecture. Such a great space to walk around, and even relax a bit. The shopping is great too. Lots of pop-ups too. I think it's a must see!
