The culture shock you get when you walk from one exhibit room to the next is bizarre.
Museums are important because without them we can’t experience life from other centuries. Experiencing life from other centuries educates us. Without the education from other countries and learning from the past we are bound to make mistakes so it’s important that we open our minds, shut our mouths and listen to what history has to say
we are able to see the past, and actually visualize it we can sensitize with it. In the Met you can see armor they used in the middle ages, you can see the gate they had to hold in the castle to keep the royal family safe from battle. Seeing that, you can vizualise it and put yourself in their shoes
You need to experience the temperature change when you go from the Egyptian section with a wall of windows to the downstairs basement with historical Met gala dress and fashion.
Being able to stand at the main entrance, people bustling around everywhere like bees, looking up and seeing famous mosaics I only had seen in pictures in person is a holy experience.
The Met has incredible things that reach over 6,000 years and span over the entire globe. From Egypt, China, France, Syria, and more. The widely diverse collection in the Met helps a student not only go back in time but also to travel across the world without leaving the state.
With this kind of education, we get to learn so much about other countries.
like the Met, museums help us understand people from all over the world.
I believe museums should be celebrated more. We need museums to preserve our history, remember it, and educate us.

We did it once in the day time and once as the sun was setting. Great view of the Statue of Liberty! The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that you cannot just ride over and then immediately ride back.
