But it was a full day of interesting sights nonetheless, with a great driver and a friendly, personable guide, Harshal. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and be ready for climbing plenty of stairs (the caves and the fort are both high up) — but the vistas at the top are well worth the effort. - FionaMelbourne, Australia42 contributionsWe had a wonderful 12 hour day to the countryside from Mumbai, starting at dawn. The caves and carvings were amazing and it felt serene and spiritual. It was a fairly strenuous walk up many stone steps to each of the caves in the humid heat, but well worth it, and plenty of places to stop and rest. The caves felt like a cool, refreshing reprieve at the top. The Karla caves have many stalls along the way selling a range of souvenirs for travellers and offerings for worshippers.
We had a wonderful guide, who was patient and knowledgeable, and it felt good to know about his charity work and university studies. The driver was careful and safe, despite the hair raising traffic getting out of Mumbai. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - RajMumbai, India27 contributionsWe Booked Maharashtra 3 Jyotirlinga Darshan Tour with Citycabz from Mumbai, Citycabz Has Planned everything perfect we started our tour from Mumbai Airport (You can start any where from Mumbai mentioned pickup point and time to citycabz) where driver was waiting to recieve us car was Sedan Etios neat and clean well maintained vehicle once meeting driver we started towards Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling in nashik it was around 195 km from Mumbai to trimbakeshwar took 4.5 hour to reach trimbakeshwar,driver and citycabz team guided us at trimbakeshwar darshan entry it took arround 1 hour for darshan at Trimbakeshwar temple after darshan we had a lunch at trimbakeshwar,after having lunch we started towards Shirdi via nashik Panchwati godavari ghat ( raam kund,Sita gufa,kapaleshwar Mahadev temple Darshan) to shirdi after reaching Shirdi Check in at our hotel and after getting fresh then we left for Shirdi Sai Baba temple for darshan with in an hour we returned back to our hotel , after overnight stay morning we left for Grishneshwar Jyotirling at Aurangabad after getting darshan at Grishneshwar we moved ellora caves,then shanisignapur and Moved towards bhimashankar once reaching bhimashankar we check in hotel and next day morning we visited to bhimashankar jyotirling after darshan we came back to Mumbai airport where driver dropped us citycabz tour arrangements were excellent we really enjoyed our Maharashtra Jyotirling darshan tourWritten 10 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brent M6 contributionsOur guide Pankaj from 5 Senses Tours created a truly memorable experience. Not only did he provide valuable insight into the development of Buddhism in India but he also gave great descriptions of the amazing artistry of these 2000 year old carved Caves. Pankaj introduced us to some delicious local cuisine at a popular Lonavala restaurant. On our drive back to the Colaba area of Mumbai, he pointed out important attractions and recommended restaurants and monuments. - Ellen V17 contributionsOur experience was not so good. The advertisement promises a “Highly trained and friendly Storyteller/ Guide who can speak English & Hindi”. We got a driver who literally did not speak one word of English. So we lost a lot of time trying to find out why we didn’t have a guide and where we should be going. It turned out to be a fault in the organization of Yo Tours, this can happen. They tried to help over the phone but it was too late to save our day. Moreover, our request for a (partial) refund, was ridiculed. We stoped off for food which gives you time to get to know the guide.
