Great venue! Saw Elvis Costello with Charlie Sexton. Awsome! Would go back again for a concert. Walking distance from where we stayed.

I took my daughter here for the opening weekend of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It was such a nice little theater. The show felt intimate. Concessions were very reasonably priced and the lines moved quickly. The show was wonderful and my 2 yr old was entertained the whole time. Merchandise was available for purchase after the show, as well as the option for season tickets. I went ahead and took advantage of the 6-show season tickets for $69/person. The performers came out and posed for pictures with everyone that wanted one. Very nice people. I’m so glad we will be returning!

Great shows! Outside Theatre with beautiful lighting reflects off the Riverwalk River. Most shows proceeds benefit children's charities.

We enjoyed very much the music by the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra, arranged specifically for the Texas Country Reporter with Bob and Kellie Phillips. The performance was at the Lila Cockrell Theater adjacent to the Convention Center. Convenient parking directly across the street in the multilevel parking garage for the Riverwalk. Strong brass section. Enjoyed the fun performance at the end of “On the Road Again” by conductor Ronnie Sanders (who actually has a good voice)

I’ve seen 2 shows here and had an amazing time both times. Really enjoyed the activities and close-up magic before the show. Had some great drinks and loved the free popcorn, as well. The magicians I’ve seen here are top notch, and I can’t wait to see another show here.

This is an eclectic restored theater with beautiful appointments. We had a convention dinner here. It was fun to see the place.

We came here for the tour of Freestyle Love Supreme. This house holds less than 1000 seats, so it’s a great space for a smaller stage show. We were right on the front row and loved seeing everything up close. Restrooms are downstairs and the stairs are tall and steep, so be careful!

My mother, my daughter, and I saw Shakespeare's The Tempest on Sunday. Ok. It was hands down, the loveliest production I've seen in a long while!! What passionate players! The group of actors were absolutely wonderful! The theatre was comfortable and accommodating. The ticket box staff was lovely as well. We will be back! Thank you for a great time! We will be back!

Awesome little theatre that does new works! It's hidden away off a busy road, so we had to look a little to find it. But great acting and the price is right.

The auditorium is designed for optimal viewing and listening. The acoustics are great. The location is on a beautifully designed university campus, with safe parking.

The Vexler always seems to come up with excellent performances and performers. Cabaret was well above those seen at other performance venues in downtown San Antonio.

The Jo Long Theater is a very quaint and intimate setting. No elevator to the balcony so beware when purchasing tickets. My wife and I went there for the Freddie Jackson concert in October 2016 and it was the perfect setting for his show. All seats are good seats. Don't hesitate to buy a seat in the back rows of the lower level, they are good seats. The same can be said for the balcony. The worst seats in the house are the front row of the balcony because they are cramped because of the retaining wall and there is a plexiglass barrier that you have to look through. It's like watching the show through an aquarium. Avoid the first row of the balcony.

I attended a conference at the convention center which this venue is a part of. However, the best feature of the theatre is the mural outside that can be seen on the Riverwalk boat tour. It was a gift from Mexico as a part of the World's Fair held here. It is the best and most memorial part of the theater.

Wonderful community theater. All appear to be volunteers. Great production and talent. The theater is older and quaint. Not a bad seat in the house. A small bar sells snacks and beverages before the show and during intermission.

We took our family to the Cameo theater in San Antonio over thanksgiving break . The theater is small but what a pleasure to see real comedians on stage giving a good performance on a really small stage.
It's not Broadway but we all shared the same lively experience.
Give it a try during your next visit in San Antonio .
