Highlight of our honeymoon!! We rented a car and spent 2 days driving around the Tuscan countryside, stopping at a few wineries for walk-in tastings. Castiglion del Bosco is the one winery that we made a reservation for and boy was it worth it! I can't compare to other vineyard tours because this is the only one we booked ahead of time, but I enjoyed every minute. Our guide, Marcello, was engaging and was able to answer all of our questions, despite only having worked at the winery for a year or two. We saw the vineyard, wine cellar, private member's room, and ended with an incredible tasting! The tour includes 6 tastings, but Marcello listened to what we liked about each one and brought us out a couple more to try so we could see what different soils and aging processes did to the flavor! Can't recommend this enough, though be warned that you'll be tempted to spend a lot while you're there!

5 stars is not enough for this gem in Tuscany. As somebody who loves wine and was eager to explore Tuscany, this felt like the perfect stop. We made reservations with Giacomo and would have been so sad to miss out on this! It was just my husband and I and we loved our intimate, yet informative tour. Giacomo is passionate with his craft, and it shows with his wine. Trust me...it was the best Brunello we had on our trip. We even had lunch at the restaurant afterwards and you cannot miss this! Every course, I am not kidding, was incredible. Our waitress was so kind! The pastas and the boar stew were an absolute standout. We were so delighted with our time here that we even sent wine home. This was a highlight of our trip - not just in Tuscany, but all of Italy. I don't care how far you are from Il Cocco, you must visit! To Giacomo and everyone at Il Cocco, grazie mille and we cannot wait to return!

We stopped here on a very hot day, so we didn't ask for a tour. We did, however, enjoy a tasting of good wines. The hostess was gracious and took the time to tell us about each wine. We ended up buying two bottles to take with us to our VRBO. Highly recommend the Brunellos!

This was the first Italian winery we had visited — and it ended up being the only one! We had a wonderful private tour, led by Jessica, who was incredibly knowledgable and engaging. We ended up buying a case to ship home back to the states to share with our loved ones, because the wine was really spectacular. Our friends and family have marveled about how great it is. Would highly recommend booking a tour, especially if you only have time to visit one winery!

We didn’t eat here but the wine tasting was superb. Our hostess explained a lot about the wine, where it came from, the soil and weather in its area and much more. We tried 10 small glasses between the 4 of us. The prices were reasonable and the selection was great and varied.

We visited Altesino during the week in mid June with our host Sonia. There were 9 of us. Sonia spoke wonderful English and we had a nice tour of the production facilities and viewed some of their vineyards close by. After the tour we had a full tasting including a selection of spectacular meats and cheeses.

I am familiar with their wines. I have been purchasing them in the US since the 2004 vintage so I am a fan. The other members of our group were not familiar with this producer. We tasted their entire lineup (including Monstisoli) except the reservas. We than had the chance to purchase them and some lovely olive oil at the winery. I happily picked up some reservas and some oil.

Sonia was very sweet and she did her very best to make us feel at home at the winery. Very good wine at reasonable pricing. I recommend this place for excellent wine - I love the Montosoli vineyard. Very floral on the nose and and great acidity. Well worth the visit.

It is necessary to take a small detour to reach this beautiful Abbey. But it is worth it. Imposing building in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. Free visit to the interior. Austere but very beautiful. It takes us back to medieval times

Located in the friendly city of Montalcino (from the famous Brunello wine) the fortress dominates the city. It is a small fortress, well preserved (free entry). Good views over the city and surrounding countryside. It has a small winery with local wines (but very expensive).

I was there in June with a small tour group from the Southern US. This was a great experience with a very knowledgeable gentleman who gave us our tour and oversaw our lunch and tasting. The lunch was great. It was my first experience with panzanella and it won’t be the last! The wines we had with lunch were superb and the pours were generous. Although I didn’t get any wine several members of our group did. I ordered olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which came today. Can’t wait to use them. The wines are definitely high end, so don’t go looking for bargains, but they are definitely worth it. I recommend this tour and tasting experience for anyone who loves good wines.

Great experience, our guide from Arco was very knowledgable and patient and even gave is a discount on our purchase. All the staff was professional and answered all our questions. We went with our 6 yo and 9yo kids and they were also captivated. The wine tasting was great, not rushed and paired with bread and olive oil. We would definitely recommend it

Had a wonderful wine tour & lunch at Fanti! Our wine tour guide Alice was great- explained how the wine is made and taught us a lot! The tasting itself was exquisite! It was paired with a Lunch which was great- they even had Gluten free options for me! We tasted olive oil, white wine, rose, and a few reds & a dessert wine!! Great winery!!!!

Our stay at Capanna Suites and visit to the winery was a dream. The views from the grounds were breathtaking, the room comfortable, clean, and spacious, and the hotel restaurant (il Passagio) was the best meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. The spa was such a nice refuge after spending days in touring other cities and best of all the staff was amazingly helpful. Special shout out to Davide at the winery who guided us on a wonderful, informative tour and led us through a spectacular wine tasting. He was also extremely helpful in setting up our shipment of wine back to the US!

We were on our way to Altesino and stopped at Caparzo as we'd enjoyed their wines. There isn't an official tasting or tour, but they allow you to taste wines that interest you. The host (vendor) was VERY accommodating and explained the wine properties well. We really enjoyed our visit and bought of few of the wines which were very good and reasonably priced. Our purchases were nicely packaged as well.
