What travellers are saying
- C.S7 contributionsButterfly garden, short forest hike, waterfalls, this is a really good option for people who want to do something fun but that will not take up the whole day. The scenery is lovely, the water is clean and fresh, the butterfly garden is beautiful as long as you like butterflies. If you have the time I would highly recommend going for a visit.Written 15 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa GSherwood Park, Canada122 contributionsBreathtaking, pristine, zero garbage anywhere, huge, dark sand, amazing sunsets, nice bathrooms and showers at entrance. - Patrick KNewport, RI2 contributionsOur group of for visited Santa Lucia Falls and enjoyed a tremendous hike with Enrique and Humberto through their property. We were able to view the 3 waterfalls, enjoy a refreshing swim in a crystal clear water hole at the end and topped it off with a wonderful meal cooked by Humberto’s wife. Would definitely recommend this adventure if your in the southern zone area of Costa Rica!Written 7 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gretchen OElgin, IL5 contributionsThe folks at the Uvita Information Center are fantastic. I went through them for both a car rental from the airport as well as a Manuel Antonio Nature Park guided tour. We had the best experiences with both!! The car rental save me $550 from ABODE which was recommended by a blogger and the tour was better then we could have ever imagined, that came with directions, parking and the best tour guild, Wilber Jarquin from Nature Walks Costa Rica!! Definitely use them if you are going to Uvita or Ojochal! Best experience.Written 8 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lori P2 contributionsMy husband is an experienced birdwatcher, whereas I am less knowledgeable about birds but enjoy all nature & wildlife. This was a perfect tour for both of us. Samanta was fabulous! An expert as this land has been in her family for decades. We learned about the history of the land, her family & all of the nature, wildlife & birds there. She identified & pointed birds out to us that we never would have seen on our own. After spending the morning hiking, we went to her beautiful home where her sister cooked a delicious breakfast for us that we ate overlooking the ocean. Sounds like an amazing tour, right? It was, but wait, there's more! Samanta also happens to be a very talented singer/songwriter who sang an original song while playing her guitar! Seriously wonderful voice. We ended up returning to her home that night for a tour to find owls. Overall AMAZING experience!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Samanta & the Duarte family.Written 19 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SAspursfanChandler, AZ53 contributionsMy wife and I enjoyed our visit and the ceramic artwork is special (and high end). This is the artist's home, and she only has a few items on display. That said, she will custom make a piece for your home. Only if you are seriously interested in ceramic arts should you visit. Make sure you follow the directions (turn left when you are at the west end of the soccer field, then 8 or so houses down on your left.Written 13 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mauren VDubai, United Arab Emirates2 contributionsBeautiful but overwhelming
Amazing music, art, workshops, artisan markets, full agendas, yoga, meditation.
Very nasty toilets, no free showers unless you pay $9 per shower... amazing concerts that i would had loved to see through out the day and not only at night
Very expensive food
It was like a gay party with a mix of yoguis, table dancers, cosplay, new age, psicodelic vibes, a lot of skin, glitter, fethers and leather

We started as volunteers then adopted the first dog we tried (not too hard) to foster.Poloma is a love and El Refugio brought her back from the brink of starvation and ruin. We are so grateful!
Please donate to them. They help to get medical care not just for those they care for but procure rides for animals to and from the vet not in their care.

- Lori RArlington, United States13 contributionsLura, the owner of Bienestar, is a licensed yoga therapist and gave my husband and me a class like no other. I have been doing yoga for years, but she quickly spotted my bad habits and problem areas and helped me correct them with kind, hands-on instruction. As she noted, “too many people lead yoga classes, but very few teach them.” A real gem whose teachings of an hour plus will stay with us forever!Written 19 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
