We had a fantastic food tour with our guide Saraiya! Saraiya was very knowledgeable and informative about the places we visited and the dishes we tried. We had a great mix of food, history and culture, and ate until our heart’s content and then some! Dishes we tried included dosai, chana bhatura, masala vadai, samosas, char bihun, assam laksa, lobak, ginger tea, and more! We also enjoyed seeing some of the unique Georgetown street art. Thanks again Saraiya for a wonderful experience! Highly recommend this tour!

This hike brought us to a part of Penang which most visitors will not get to know. We started off with Nat bringing us for a ginger tea drink to ready us for the long walk. The route took us along a path up the hill passing farms which grew fruit trees and vegetables. Saw durian, rambutan, jackfruit, chempedak, mangosteen, soursop and passion fruit with fruits hanging from them. The slope in the first half is quite challenging and tiring but it becomes more manageable in the second half. The views got better as we ascended. We would not have completed the hike uphill if not for Nat's encouragement and motivation. He was very patient and allowed us to rest numerous times to catch our breath as he wanted us to enjoy the view from the hilltop. Nat is an excellent and wonderful guide with excellent knowledge of the area as he had grown up there. From the top, you will be able to get a good view of Penang island including the two Penang bridges linking the island to the peninsula. As it had rained earlier in the afternoon before the hike started, it was much cooler as we ascended, and we also got to see the clouds and mist coming over the hill. After we descended, Nat brought us to have a dinner of tasty slat fish fried rice and satay. We really enjoyed our time and are so glad to have met Nat. I am really glad we booked this hiking trip with Nat, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a different part of Penang.

What a treat to be guided by the owner of this incredible mansion on a Friday morning - she delighted us with her passion, anecdotes, and deep knowledge of the site, it’s history and conservation (led by her and her husband). Highly recommend! Thank you 🙏

It has taken me far too long to write this review, but in a way, it means more that my partner and I still remember this food tour as a stand out highlight of our time in Malaysia and Penang. (NOTE we went in Nov 2019 but I can't pick that option!) From the moment we met Danny, his passion and knowledge about Penang stood out. Such varied cultures allow Danny to craft a wonderful tour, taking in the sights, smells and tastes of the 2nd biggest city in Malaysia, whilst reminding you of its humble origins. It gave us new eyes on the town and we went back to many of the stops in the following days. Thank you Danny for loving the city in a way that you were so willing to share with us. We hope you are keeping safe in the difficult times 2020 has brought and we will be back soon! Siobhan and Stefano x

My husband and I are total foodies. We've been on a few dozen food tours across three continents. And this was hands down the best one we've ever experienced. Danny was an absolutely incredible guide, telling us the fascinating history of George Town while taking us through the city. And the food . . . I'm still dreaming about so much of the food. It honestly breaks my heart that I live on the other side of the world, because I've been craving several of the foods we tried since our tour.

Best place to sight seeing the unique murals on the wall and to take pictures. I took many pictures there with my friend as a remembrance. Advisable to bring hat since the weather is too hot if you plan to visit in the afternoon. If you're looking to explore more spots here, can rent a bicycle and cycle to all the spots to take pictures. I spent there around 1 hour by walking along the street to take pictures.

Great Experience, learned a lot from Tiger, he has thought us the difference of culture and food. Picnic by the Hill side was one of the best experience on the food tour

I had the pleasure of doing this tour yesterday and absolutely loved it. My tour guide was Philip and he was excellent. He has lived in Penang all his life and is passionate about showing people around. He told me that it is not just a job for him but something he loves to do. I actually live in Penang and have wanted to see the ever increasing street art that seems to be popping up everywhere. I did look online as I was going to do it on my own but I am so glad that I decided to do the private tour as I saw so many more than I would have been able to find on my own plus it was nice to have Philip for company. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again. Thank you for a wonderful day.

We opted for the Penang Heritage Experience Walking Tour and had a blast! Dura arranged everything for us on arrival and the tour guide met us on time at Areca Hotel. The tour was informative and professional. Will definitely recommend to others!
