What an amazing experience. Coming from the US we were very surprised that at this family friendly experience they were not nickle and diming the parents. Yes there is a wonderful gift shop, bakery, pumpkins and such to buy but no one is forcing you to spend your money. The pumpkins were so reasonably priced it was unbelievable. Huge ones for $6. Petting farm for the kids. Lots of playground equipment. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Very clean grounds. There is a charge to take the train to pick apples but that seemed very reasonable. We walked around and relaxed. Sat and had ice cream. Enjoyed the view. A totally wonderful experience.

Typical honey farm. Some nice unique gifts and some educational areas to see, especially for the little ones.

I walk in Kalamalka Lake Park regularly and it is a beautiful place to refresh. It is 15 minutes from downtown Vernon. Beautiful forests, beautiful scenery, beautiful views. Despite the expectation that all pets be on a leash in a provincial park, dogs owners rarely obey. I like dogs, but I’m not a dog person. Dogs have ru after me, chased me, barked and growled at me all the while the owner watches. Unless you are prepared to be harassed by lose dogs, go elsewhere.

The Nature Trail had no signage on it - I hear now new trails were put in this summer - but they forgot to tell the public and they forgot to put signage on!!!!!! I enjoyed the camping but not getting lost on the trail trying to get back to my parked car and looking at the posted map in the parking lot!! I ended up on the highway by the biking parking lot walking to get back to campsite and my car!

We were visiting town and our friends from Kelowna suggested that we take a walk in Polson Park. This is a beautiful spot where you can take your time having a leisurely stroll, have a family picnic, or just lay around in the sunshine.
WE had a very nice time there.

We have driven by the ranch many times since we moved to Kelowna 12 years ago but this was our first visit. We are sorry we waited.
It was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon and the place was hopping, but not so busy that we felt crowded. Children were having fun rolling pumpkins and doing other kid stuff. We enjoyed the buildings and their contents, especially the old store/post office. Always a pleasure touring a site like this. There were also plenty of unusual animals to see.
In general, a fun stop and we will return.

NIce area if the air is clean. Unfortunately smoke tends to linger throughout the Okanagan Valley if there are any fires anywhere in the Interior of BC.

This trail is well maintained and beautiful. So many places to slip in for a clean, cool dunk. Have walked it many times but recently biked and went so much further lol!

Great beach to take the family. The sand is soft and the water is shallow for swimming. Little to no rocks in the water. Small cafe and bathrooms nearby. A little farther but still close is another cafe/gift shop as well as a bar and restaurant. Lots of parking nearby but does get busy.

I was there towards the end of the season before the centre closed for winter. I had a great time wandering around the shortish path. The path has many noticeboards along it with information about what you see there either directly in front of you or further afield. The path, although not paved is, I think, flat enough to allow wheelchairs with bigger wheels.

Yes, the actual centre building is small, but the staff (both employed and volunteer) were all very friendly, informative and chatty, offering both an opportunty to chat about the exhibits etc, but giving me the space to enjoy the experience on my own.

The centre is very easy to access by car and the carpark has ample space for about 20 cars, so easy parking.

I look forward to returning when the centre reopens on Groundhog Day 2024.

We spent about 3 hours here one hot afternoon. The air conditioning was nice! My kids (aged 4 and 7) loved the hands on educational room (blocks, fossil rubbings, gears, solar power, bones, magnifying glasses, costumes), the sound and climbing room (airplane simulator, musical pipes, how far can you jump area, ball and pipe track building area) and the LEGO in the space area. We all liked the human body area also. Very fun and hands on. And only $20 for a family! Nice that it is right in Polson Park and we can also visit the splash park and playground.
