What travellers are saying
- carloclimbParma, Italy541 contributionsRosenheim is a human sized town (60.000 people) with a nice center, whose hearth is this square.
In its surroundings you can find another square, public gardens and a boulevard with the most renowned shops.Written 11 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The relics from the Roman era was of great interest. It is well worth the visit. Make sure you allow yourself time to absorb the many items on display.Written 3 December 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AngieB47Woking, UK43 contributionsI've loved this lake since my first visit in 1949. You can swim, sail, fish or just sit at the Seewirt Gaststaette at Ecking enjoying the view whilst sipping a weissbier - when the weather is good!Written 19 June 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ser_banMunich, Germany18 contributionsLovely place to spend an hour or so, the place offers 6 different scenarios, I presume with varying degrees of difficulty. Also some are recommended for children over 14, even if there is no direct restriction.
Personnel at the entrance was very friendly, as well as the "voice in the ceiling" that provided helpful hints when we were stuck.
All in all a nice way to spend time in the city and to stimulate the appetite :-)Written 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First of all, it is the bombed out remains of a beautiful church that was built in the late 1800s. The Allies used it's spire (the tallest in the city) to site their bombs during WWII. The result was the destruction of the church, the neighborhood and the entire city. High explosive and incendiary bombs were dropped with the result of total devastation and a firestorm that consumed the city and its inhabitants by the tens of thousands. This was left in its bombed out state as a reminder of the horrors of war.
You can take an elevator to the top of the remains of the bell tower for a spectacular view of the city. DO NOT miss the museum on the site that provides a very moving exhibit on what the city went through during the war.
