I went on a Norwegian Cruise line ship the epic out of Puerto Rico on January 16, 2022. I am on my first day of a 21 day trip. My plan was to go scuba diving and we were headed down to the lower Caribbean into some of the best Scuba diving in the world. I booked multiple Scuba diving excursions with the cruise line only to have the cruise line cancel all of them! Yes I got on the ship looking forward to diving had my gear with me only to be notified after I was on the ship that all of my scuba diving excursions were canceled. What? NCL accepted my reservations and took my money then canceled AFTER I was on the ship. Not Honest! Deceitful! Underhanded! Not forthright! I asked about this at the excursion desk on the ship. I was told that ALL Scuba excursions have been canceled for the last month. What? Per the NCL staff my excursions were NEVER going to happen. Per the staff on the ship NCL knew that they were not going to offer the dive excursions that the booked for me and took my money for. I can only assume that NCL knew that I would cancel my trip if there was not going to be any dive excursions. So NCL deceived me into thinking that there would be diving excursions so that I would get on the ship and pay! Do not get deceived by NCL! Next issue was my dinner reservations. NCL took the reservations. Posted the reservations. Sent me confirmation of all of my reservations then once I was on board the ship, the NCL staff informed me that none of my reservations at their Taste Restaurant would be honored! What? Another bait and switch! This is wrong! Then because I have been on numerous cruises with NCL, I get invited to an event on the ship and some room perks that NCL reminded me regularly before the trip started. Now that I am on the ship these perks also have been deleted. This is wrong for NCL to tell one to make sure that they enjoy their status perks on Wednesday and suddenly 4 days later everything is gone. Per the ship staff the event was eliminated weeks ago yet passengers were told a different story. Again, not honest! Be careful. When I asked about these and other changes all of which were to my detriment and if NCL was going to try to ease the blow or meet in the middle? The answer was simply no. Be prepared to get screwed by NCL if you decide to cruise with them! Sent from my iPhone

First off, I want to say we had a very nice corner balcony on Deck 13 and the crew is very friendly and after a day on the ship, it is pretty easy to find your way around. I saw a previous review that their sailing didn't leave San Juan until 11:30 and didn't think anything of it, until our sailing on 12/26 didn't leave until midnight. That changed our scheduling and we went to St. Marteen the first day instead of the last. And ,we went there twice (on Friday the 31st as well). We did make it to Antigua and Barbados as scheduled, but Captain Marco said we couldn't go to St. Lucia or St. Kitts as the ports were closed. But when we go into St. Marteen on Friday, a Viking ship was in port, and they got into those places. On Saturday we stopped in St Thomas, but couldn't get off the ship. The ship only stayed for a few hours and then spent the rest of the day at sea. I know they are doing the best they can right now, but wouldn't make sense to find an island to take you rather than having a couple thousand folks all together right now? We like to take these trips to see different places, but that just gives us a reason to try again someday.

We were supposed to depart at 7:00 PM, but we departed at 11:30 PM. The tour itinerary changed. The captain announced about the change around 7:00 PM. We don't know why the captain changed. There was no proper communication. The captain did a terrible job. Captain, the CEO of the ship, doesn't the value of communication. We paid extra price for a great cruise. Overall, terrible experience. Please don't sail by Norwegian.

My wife and I went on a 9 day cruise of the Mediterranean. We did not like the layout of the ship at all. It took most of the trip to get used to the location of restaurants, bars,, etc. I like to see the water, sunsets, weather, and ports.....but I had to always go to the 15th floor to see outside! Very inconvenient. We enjoyed the Beatles and Santana tribute bands in the evening. The other things we tried were Bingo, Deal or no Deal, and a Couples game, all of which cost to play and NCL made money on, while the guests were actually the entertainment! Pretty low budget. With the exception of the Free at Sea restaurants the food was just ok. The breakfast on the buffet was not good at all. Oh I almost forgot...we had to get vaccinations, and negative C19 tests prior to sailing and we still HAD TO WEAR MASKS THE ENTIRE TIME!! Our cruise concierge said (prior to the cruise) that we would not have to. VERY upsetting. Most of the guests we spoke with agreed with all of this. Won't do Epic again. Maybe not NCL either.

The ship is tired, the balcony is full of rust and chipped paint, the balcony chairs have paint on them, the balcony is dirty. Its like groundhog day, the food is poor and limited in the buffett, the shows are dull, the entertainment is the same. The trips are a fortune despite being told by iglu they wld be much reduced in Italy due to not being able to go off on your own. Sorrennto was rubbish, 1.15mins on your own to explore and see nothing. This is the last cruise i wld do with NCL Epic and would definitely choose RCL over NCL.
