Started with a land tour in Fairbanks and Denali National Park. Road the train to Anchorage and boarded the ship. Traveled the inland waterway to Vancouver. The entire trip was very memorable!

Vegetarian food was rubbish, had to have a ceaser salad most nights for an evening meal. Lunch time had cold vegetable pasta which contained tuna.. We were on the final cruise before the corona virus outbreak, so there was a lockdown on all the food counters and everything was served to you (even salt ). So handwashing became extra important. But I think the staff need to have some sort of basic hygiene training. 1. At the hamburger counter the server dropped the utensil on the floor picked it up and reused it, even though I shook my head at him, he choose to smirk at me. 2.Staff could freely walk through the buffet area without washing their hands. 3 even though the servers wore gloves i witnessed a server emptying bins and then picking up pats of butter without the tongs and smearing onto plates with her fingers. I was glad to get off the ship,

an interesting trip with four days ar sea before Hawaii eating good food, enjoying good company and a formal evening. Sea was a bit rough but not too bad. The islands of Hawaii are wonderful places to visit and as ever cruises there is not enough time. Coming back we encountered rougher weather but it was still enjoyable albeit everyone was concerned about the virus spreading.

Just got back off our first cruise to Hawaii on star princess. To be fair the cabin was clean and spacey with comfortable beds, the coffee at the special cafeteria also good. Now for the bad points:- Lukewarm food in horizon my husband had cold chilli on his tacos very repetitive food also Cocktail drinks in the bars were very inconsistent and didn’t taste the same drink if you changed bars.Worst of all by far was the entertainment Daytime was dire and included knitters and natters, guess the flag, guess the elevator and gloomy lectures and unhosted items ??? Evening wasn’t much better though we had a few reasonable acts the rest was dire to say the least. My husband called this cruise the coffin boat and we weren’t alone in this thought To summarise if you are old at night, ready for bed early, don’t mind eating ok food and are happy to sit doing nothing then this is the cruise and boat for you Too many boring days at sea we were literally ready to slit our throats Come on princess not everyone is ready to die yet. The previous review who said its a very relaxing cruise wasn’t joking you come off it not anew as princess states but a zombie Sorry princess will stick to royal Caribbean and p&o in future. You just cater for very very old people and I’m sixty and it was way too old for me Don’t waste your money on this cruise Honolulu was brill , and Maui but the other ports not worth the visit

Cruising from LA to Hawaii is a very relaxing cruise. It’s the best way if you like sea days to spend two week’s. Good food good accommodations and a great time.
