sieht man überhaupts Magma wenn mans dann geschafft hat? Ist das wenigstens faszinierend?
Am planning to hike/ climb Ol Doinyo Lengai Mountain next year. Can someone suggest the best time/month to do it.When the weather is clear from the top.
I would like to ask, if any of you tried to climb Ol Doinyo Lengai on his own - I mean without the guide?
I am working as a volunteer in Tanzania almost half a year so I am living just from my savings that are around 20 USD per week and my boyfriend, with which I want to make that trip is a student without salary, so we are not able to hire a guide.
We are both climbers and we were on our own in most of European high peaks and even on some outside of Europe - all without guide.
But Africa could be different - so I would like to know,
1) If anyone has experience to go without the guide?
2) Where exactly should we start?
3) Where is save to leave our car?
4) Is there a danger of meeting wild animals? (lions and so on...)
And also I red about some beutiful waterfalls in that area - can you tell me again where are they?
Thanks a lot, I just want to say that I understand that the people there are living from the tourism, but if there will be guide for like that 20 USD that can take us around, I would pay this money, but what I red the price was around 100USD/person, that we really don´t have:-/
