I have booked a deluxe suite for an upcoming stay to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and was wondering about the lighting in the room as I have read the reviews from others that the rooms on the 3rd floor did not offer good lighting. Also, is the hotel attached to the restaurant or do you need to go outside to enter the restaurant? What type of breakfast is included with the room rate? I'm really looking forward to our stay in early November but still had these few questions.
I was on the 2nd floor - no problem with lighting that I recall. The restaurant does a very good breakfast and it can be reached from inside the hotel. Ask for your room to be on the opposite side of the gas station. It is a nice hotel in a good location. Be sure to visit the Farmer's Market across the street. I have stayed there 4 times - always great.
The lighting on the 3rd floor is not good so I wouldn't recommend a room on that floor. You can access the restaurant from the hotel; no need to go outside.
The breakfast was wonderful, there are about eight selections on the menu; lots of variety, anything you'd want and good!
I recommend the hotel, just not a room on the 3rd floor.
Stayed there this summer and was happy with the hotel. It did seem to be not real bright on the third floor but there was plenty of light for reading.
You can access the restaurant from inside. The free breakfast included with the stay was contained to a selection of five. I got the one with the most food as I am a big breakfast fan and it held me til lunch.
You can access the restaurant through the hotel. The breakfast options are available, and range from Continental with croissants and jam to hot with eggs and bacon.
We stayed on the second floor so I cannot comment about the lighting on the third floor, but it seemed adequate in our room.
