Booked Xmas week, is there a way to find out whats on at the resort that week? ie (1) entertainment? (2) Are reservations required for Xmas dinner? (3) are restaurants/bars open? whats the best online guide to whats on in the local area?
Thank you for your inquiry. The activities guides have not been completed at this time for the holidays. Please contact the resort directly for assistance with dining recommendations and reservations for the holiday season, by calling 34 95 276 9600.
Sloanes Restaurant, run by an English couple, Nicky and Alex is a fabulous place to eat and is good all year round. It is about 10 minutes drive from the resort. Also the Beach House or Sinbads. Both on the beach but in different drections, again great places to eat anytime.
You should contact the concierge. However, if you speak Spanish, you may want to start researching restaurants now, select a few that you want to visit, and then telephone regarding a reservation. Everything was open on Easter, but Easter and Christmas are two different Holidays. Also, Marriott is a great resort, but there are sooooo many places to eat nearby that you may want to look off resort for Christmas dinner reservations. The Easter buffet had mixed reviews, so we opted out. Also, places booked up quickly for Easter dinner. So I imagine XMas will be the same
If you want a fantastic but lively christmas dinner book at the Beach House- not on the Marriotts site) but do it early. Only cost 5 euros in a taxi to get there. For a beautifully cooked and catered Christmas dinner try San Martino in the village Elviria- make sure you book the restaurant and not the small bar with the same name.
Call the reception! They're really friendly and they will be able to answer any of your questions. Most of the thing you're asking might be too early to know e.g. entertainment. But you might want to ask for the Christmas dinner already!
