What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel at approx. 11 am on a Saturday?
Just take a taxi from the taxi rank as you exit the airport - make sure they use the meter - 25-30 Euros . There are other options but this is hassle free .
Hi, we took a taxi from Berlin Tegel airport in August arriving on Friday around rush hour. It was roughly $20 Euros and we had 4 adults with a Hockey Bag & sticks as well as 3 suitcases. Once you get to the hotel you are in walking distance of several famous sights plus the Underground is very user friendly and close to hotel if you want to venture further around the city. We bought the Berlin Pass with the transportation tickets. This was awesome to get around the city and comes with several attractions to see and do.
Depends on the airport: TXL/100 bus to Tegel is non-stop and simple, right around the corner from the hotel. Otherwise Schoenefeld is a little more complicated - there's a bus 10 minutes walk away (RB14 bus) that goes direct every 30 minutes on weekends or you can take the U6 to S45, but the S45 is also about every 30 minutes.
Both options are great. Berlin airport is so close to the city. wonderful
Get the 128 bus to Kurt-schumacher Platz and then the U6 underground train to Franzosische Strasse and the hotel os 30m away from the top of the stairs.
By train - very cheap to Friedrichstrasse - when we were there the platform was almost the furthest away from the walking route from the airport. Enjoy your visit - good eating at Amici in Gendarmenmakt, Peter Pane and Treffpunkt.
