You can buy one when you get there. They do sell a little book art pass that will get you entry into multiple galleries and allows you to skip the normal line.

Hi there, we went on a Saturday as we were told by our hotel staff that its free admission after 3pm. So we got there free of charge. But it should not be a problem if you were to purchase a ticket once you get there. It should be fine. Enjoy it..cause it is worth it.

We didn't, was a spur of the moment visit and had only one coupe ahead of us on the cue. Awesome art well worth the visit, allow a good couple of hours and then sit outside with a wine and take in the view of the city... enjoy

You can buy a ticket when you're there. However, I'd highly recommend getting the art pass if you're going to more than one museum. One transaction and you get to skip the lines. And the Miro museum is a short walk from the Catalunya Museum and well worth it. You can check out the pass at articketbcn

We loved this museum and spent most of the day there. Wonderful exhibits. We walked up and got our tickets. Actually, I think this might have been one they let us into for free because we are "old". We also got two headsets for the guided tour. Especially helpful in the medieval section. The commentary was very informative.

check the Age based entry. I can't remember age but you might get free entry.

Think about the hatted restaurant for a treat , ask for a window seat. Wonderful, then the ART seems better.
