My wife and I are planning a trip this July from Amsterdam to Bruges.
Is the Central Train Station within walking distance to your hotel?
The train station is situated at the side of the city. Hotel Biskajer is situated in the very heart of the city centre, near all sights.
If you come by train, you have following options:
• Walking, from the railway station into the centre, takes you 25 minutes to reach the hotel.
• By taxi it takes about 10 minutes. The cost will be between € 8 and € 12, depending on the traffic.
• Bus numbers 4 and 14 stop at the Jan Van Eyck Square. The hotel is situated behind this square.
Bruges is a relatively small city and most placed can be reached on foot. The answer to the question really depends on how much luggage you will have you. While it would take about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel, I would not recommend this if you have a lot of luggage. Taxi's are reasonable however and can be picked up form outside the train station and delivery you safely to the hotel in around 10 minutes....
