Hi. Is there an admission cost to the treaty grounds or only if you want to do a guided tour?
Maybe the fact that people not from New Zealand have to pay double the ratae does not sit well with everyone.
We tried to visit 2 weeks ago and the entry fee was $50nz each. We felt that was too much and left.
Yes there is a entry fee to the treaty grounds but well worth it, and you do not have to do the guided tour - that is extra - quite easy to have a look around yourself but will learn so much more with the guided tour.
The treaty ground pass is $40NZ ($29 US) but truly worth it because you have the tour, museum visit, cultural show with dancers and it is a great lesson on culture and history. We had locals on the tour who were blown away by what THEY learned. It is a beautiful setting for photos. Your travel dollars are well spent at this stop!
you have to pay to go in, and the costincludes a tour and cultural show. definitely worth it though.
There is an admission fee and it includes the tour and admission to the museum etc.
Worth every cent!!
Yes there is a charge but worth every cent.
Tip- if there are cruise liners in then go in the afternoon as there will be less people around.
Hi I was there late Oct/early Nov 16 and there was an admission fee which included a guided tour of the Treaty grounds and a Maori cultural concert. Well worth seeing! I can't recall the admission fee, possibly $20-30 NZD per adult. I remember thinking it wasn't too expensive at the time. Cheers enjoy!
