Our guide was organised by BestPriceTravel and am unsure if they do these a a one off . We had a package that we negotiated for our 12 days (over several months before going to Vietnam) and we had several guides and various folks that collected us from airports, trains, boats and hotels all giving us a run down on where we were being transported to/from (not all, but 6 'guides' in all). Cheers
Ditto. I went with Gate1 travel also and the signs are in English so you do not require a local guide. Save your money and enjoy the delicious food after your walk around!
Went with Gate 1. Did not use a guide there as all signage is bilingual
Honestly I did not use them as I had a personal local translator but it's for sure not more than 20 USD!
I don't know. You can go without a guide.
So Sorry to Inform You that we went with a Group & a Private Guide from Gate1travel
The Guide was Excellent
But - You Do Not Really need a Guide Since there is also English translation on lots of the stuff
It's a Fascinating Museum & You can truly learn so much about the History of Vietnam
