Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport Questions & Answers

Gateshead, United Kingdom

HI

We will be staying here in January 2016 and would like to know about the dining facilities. What are the menus likely to be ( I know this changes due to season) and what are the prices. Also the selection of red wines.

Is there room service?

Thanks

Hi,

There are 3 dinning areas in this hotel - a lounge, a bar and grill and a restaurant serving an international menu. Cost is equivalent to a 4 - 5 star hotel in KL.. Pretty good pending exchange rates.

All 3 serves alcohol including Reds but am not sure about the costs. Had breakfast at Degrees and the spread was amazing from continental to all kinds of Asian breakfast.

For cheaper eateries, take the hotel buggy to the airport terminal which is a stone throne away. And if you are more adventurous, take the airport rail to Terminal 2..(5 mins) and there are some interesting outlets there.

Menu is probably not seasonal as Malaysia is tropical... Sunshine all year round :-)

Hope this helps. Have a lovely trip.

Hi The main restaurant is fine it has a varied menus but the buffet is also excellent as long as you get there early as with all buffets they tend to age quick there is a mix of Europeen and Malasian food red wine I had was excellent a Spanish Rioja there was also some Chile and Australian reds

I had room service when I arrived at 12.30 am very nice club sandwich

There is also a bar where you can get burgers pizza and nacho's Sreaks Chicken the only down is they allow smoking in this bar if that bothers you there is a very good band playing every night in the bar. Breakfast was very good buffet and omelet bar

Hope this is of help

Sorry, had the same experience as previous reviewer. We were upgraded with access to their lounge, including hot & cold snacks and free wine and beer!

From previous visit, I took a short stroll to the airport and had dinner in one of the asian restaurants, but when checking the menus of the different restaurants in Sama - Sama, the only thing I can imagine to worry about is your valet!

Sorry, cannot really answer any of these questions, as we upgraded to a Premium floor room, which includes lounge access and the food/drink (inc red wine !) there is plentiful enough not to need to go into any of the other outlets or order room service. There appeared to be plenty of restaurant/bar options though.

The menu was both comprehensive & cosmopolitan. From memory there was an element of buffet dining as well as freshly cooked items, both westernised and local. The prices were also very reasonable. Did not use room service but this was available but cannot remember whether this was 24/7.

We upgraded to Club lounge which includes wines and food. So we didnt need to use the restaurant. We also bought a bottle of red with us! But being an airport hotel the prices were typical of a hotel.

But I would try for the Club Lounge. Enjoy

I think it would be BEST to 1. check the website.and 2. email the Hotel directly. I find 'direct contact' quite Useful.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my query.

I checked the website and found it a little lacking in detail which is why I posted the query. Also I find that traveller's experiences are invaluable in this area, whereas the hotel will always big up their own product. This is not a bad thing, its just that the opinion of fellow travellers is always welcome.

I will try and follow all advice, however I might not have the time nor the appetite for everything, even though I can eat and drink a lot when challenged. Thanks again everyone.
