Mid Valley Megamall Questions & Answers

Singapore, Singapore

Hi. May I ask how do I travel from Pullman KL City Centre Hotel (Opposite Pavillion) to Mid Valley Mega Mall? If it involves a lot of transfers, may I know the rough estimate for Grab car to go directly? Also, what is the best time in the morning and evening to avoid traffic jams? Thanks!

There will be traffic anytime from morning to evening. No best time as traffic is not predictable. Try to avoid peak 8 to 10am. Evening anytime from 5-8pm is the heaviest.

But it’s not total gridlock. Just take a bit more time.

And grab doesn’t charge you for time. It’s a flat rate regardless of how much time you take to get to your destination. Grab charges by distance

From Pullman I wouldn't bother with the monorail, the quickest is taxi. I paid around 20myr and sometimes 25myr, this was not meter, it was taxi charging flat price. I've taken taxi around 9.30am, took about 20 min. I then just wait for shops to open. No traffic problems for me at that time in morning. If you're travelling alone and you don't want to pay that much then do monorail , then train but it is a lot of mucking around and so much more time getting there. If travelling with family, taxi better.

From Pavilion: take mono rail to KL Sentral (Central), change to KTM train to Mid Valley station.

Only 1 transfer.

If taking Grab, probably RM 10-15.

Option 3: from KL Sentral I took MRT Kelana Jaya line and stop at Abdullah Hakim station. Walk across the Highway (all locals doing) to Mid Valley mall

BTW If you don't go to Mid Valley Mall, you wont miss anything because all the shops and Dept stores brands are found in other malls.

I took Grab from the Batu Caves to Mid-Valley Mall in the late morning with no traffic problems.

However, when I was returning to the Mandarin Oriental from Mid-Valley at around 2.30 p.m. we were caught in a lot of traffic and were stationary for long periods of time, particularly at traffic lights.

The young Grab driver was delightful though and we ended up passing the time by singing along to the songs playing on the radio lol.

I do recommend Grab because I found the drivers to be polite and friendly and the cars to be spotlessly clean.
