Desert Safari Egypt Questions & Answers

Greenville, South Carolina

I just received the following message from a major local tour operator, "Unfortunately desert and safari activities in all parts of Egypt’s western deserts and oases (Bahariya, Farafra, the White Desert, Dakhla and Kharga) are banned in the time being and no one knows when it will be lifted. The Egyptian authorities have made this decision almost a year ago".

Is this true?

Thanks.

We visited in March 2017. At that point of time also a tour operator had said the same thing but actually there was no such ban. For current status write to any tour company which does white desert tours specifically and they will give you the latest information.
