Domaine Carneros Questions & Answers

Naas, Ireland

We are staying in the River Terrace INN in Napa for one night in September on our Honeymoon and want to visit Domaine Carneros. Is it far from Napa? We don't want to driver ourselves as we want to do some tasting.. What is the easiest / most cost effective way of getting here and back ! Hiring a driver?

if anyone had any tips it would be greatly appreciated!

15 minutes by automobile. You can book a tour w/transportation through your hotel. Or if you want to visit Domaine Carneros without the limo expense Uber car service is available especially on weekends when the area is flooded with visitors.

For good info on Napa and Sonoma valleys. Google "Preiser Key". They publish a well respected guide on all wine country tourist info.

There are many services that provide transportation to various wineries. Check with the Inn and ask them for recommendations. Enjoy Napa & surrounding areas.

Sharleen: Domaine Carneros is definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly & interactive and love the wine business. We stayed in Napa on the north end (Szenza) and drove to DC. It took about 20 minutes. That said, you should visit a couple places & taste the wine. On our next trip, we're going on a tour in small bus/large van to avoid any issues. Also, note that Napa is continually changing, so talk to as many people as you can to get the latest. After a couple sips of wine, everyone will be willing to give advice on where to go.

We recently hired a limo for 5 hours and that was a great way to see about 4 wineries; the hotel can set that up for you! I hear that now it is pretty easy just to do uber's from one winery to another especially in Napa at those wineries fairly close together! Carneros is super easy to get to and close.
