Do you have full Hookups? How handicap accessible is the campground and area? What about pets?
I think Ruth answered it perfectly. I am going to be staying there in October. Definitely can not use a wheelchair on the dunes. That in itself is a challenge and there are no boardwalks that would even allow for that activity.
And yes, full hook ups. I have yet to see a RV park that did not allow pets. Since your RV is your home while traveling and your pets are with you then it's not a problem. All RV parks however require you to clean up after your pet.
There are full hookups - electric 30/50 amp, water, and sewer. The water is from their own well; so, if you are staying a month or more you might want to get a local water conditioning service. For short stays it's not a big problem.
Not being handicapped myself, I can only guess that the doors and facilities would work. Obviously, the bathrooms have accessible stalls both for toilet and shower (at least in the women's). The roadways are paved. While the sites vary from dirt to gravel, I think non-electric wheel chairs might be challenged. Access to the dunes is full-on sand (right off the pavement) and would not accommodate wheeled assistance.
Obviously, service dogs can't be refused, And, family pets (dogs and cats) are allowed. Pets need to be on leases and you need to be responsible for their waste products (park provides bags and poop containers). Coyotes have been seen on the dunes, so I don't let our dog off leash there.
Come and have fun!!
