We would love suggestions on where to stop for a quick lunch. We are driving through Denver on our way to Avon. We want to explore the LoDo area and grab lunch at a local restaurant.
Thirsty Lion by Union Station is excellent! We did not have to wait long for our food at all!
Hello, nothing is ever quick if your down in LODO. You want to maybe take an hour so you dont have to rush. My suggestions and in which I have eaten at all three, the Viewhouse is awesome, Blue Sushi (if you like Sushi) and my ultimate stop!! Lucky Pie Pizzeria and Taphouse!! Depending on what time your planning on stopping, a meter should be available and be able to look and walk around, grab a bite then drive safe to Avon.
Hi Avon Traveler,
So if the operative word is "quick" I would recommend going to Union Station which is fronted by Wynkoop Street. That block features short-term valet ($) and UBER parking but you then dont have to mess with finding a meter. Wynkoop Brewery is a landmark pub/eatery, there is also the Thirsty Lion (and several others) in the Union Station Terminal building as well. All within 1 block, very people-friendly and energetic atmosphere.
Marg's is good. Eclectic variety of tacos. A block or so from Union Station.
Tokyo Joe's on 16th is good.
Not too many bad places to eat there. Go a few blocks away from 16th St to really find a few gems. Love this part of town.
I agree with Debbie3972 and many others. The Thirsty Lion and several other restaurants in Union Station would serve your "quick" needs and all are excellent choices for foodies. Short term parking in this area seems to be easier here than most other areas of of the city.
