Not really. Plus I'd be more concerned about the people they let stay there rather than the part of town its in.

It seemed ok at least during the day. I probably wouldn't be walking around after dark. There is not a lot around the immediate area anyway. If I remember correctly there is a CVS a couple blocks away along with another hotel/restaurant and that is about it.

This is an airport hotel so is really best suited for travellers who will take a shuttle to the hotel and back to the airport. so it is relatively safe for that. if you are taking an UBER OR taxi it should be fine.

It's not the best or most secure. Very close to little Havana.

It seemed pretty safe to me. I flew into miami and rode the free shuttle to the hotel but my sister drove in from NC and her car was parked on the property and there were no problems.

I actually noticed a strong police presence while I was staying at the hotel, not in a bad or ominous way, but I think police might park here and meet, talk, etc. I don't know a whole lot about the "area" of Miami, but it's a big city, so there will be more crime and indiscretion than a small town, in general. I stayed there both before and after my flight with my three small children and felt completely safe within the confines of the hotel. My husband ventured out to a few stores in the area, and it all was pretty standard (of course, we lived in Chicago for 5 years, so we aren't phased by much). We spent a lot of time outside at the pool-- it felt very safe and secure.

Yes. I went for a brief walk. It appears to be a safe area, although their is nit much to walk to.

This is a hotel in the area of the airport and is near the highway. It is a reasonably priced hotel to crash if arriving late or flying out early morning. Otherwise, I would not stay at the embassy suites Miami as there is little else desirable about the hotel or the location.

Someone said you can't walk anywhere; we did, walked to a restaurant that was open late ... a bit farther was a drugstore/pharmacy (CVS?Duane Reade?) so it wasn't totally isolated. Didn't notice the gentlemen's clubs mentioned above. See if you can do a Google Earth and zoom in .. perhaps that could set your mind at ease. Enjoy Miami!

Yes, but you can't walk anywhere nearby. There are no sidewalks and busy traffic on roads.

Safe, yes. But it is Miami and so there are "gentlemans clubs" nearby this location. You'll be totally fine with kids but I wouldn't stay there for multiple days as the atmosphere is a bit risqué for youngin's. So, I'd stay if only for an evening until your next days continuation flight/cruise, but wouldn't consider spending a week at this hotel.

It appeared to be. We landed after 9 pm and left for our cruise first thing after breakfast so we didn't explore the area but there were a lot of children staying there. We did t have a vehicle as we used the shuttle Just don't expect a great breakfast experience
