Nearly all units are part of the hotel management. Only about 10 are privately owned, and we stayed in one of these. This meant we did our own laundry (including sheets/towels etc.), and emptied our own trash (trash room beside elevators). It is like your own apartment - so do what you would do at home. As others have said, there is no restaurant nearby, so buy your own food and bring it home. You really must have a car to stay here. Parking lot full at weekends (in the evenings) but almost empty during the week. We stayed here nearly a month, to visit with our daughter who works at Disney, and was living in the Disney housing only 5 minutes drive away.
I really cannot say except that no meals are available.
It is close to Disney and about 20 minutes to Unversal but I thoroughly recommend a stay.
Many of the furnishings are dated and they do not have many restaurant options. If those things are not a problem for you, than it’s a great place to stay! Excellent location, well kept grounds & pool, and clea, comfortable, spacious accommodations.
I was there three weeks ago and can honestly say it was great value for money. You need a car though, to get around, but it is very centrally located if you are looking to go to the parks. They only have one transfer a day to the Disney parks and one pick up (didn't investigate this to intensely as we had our own car, might be worthwhile asking them if you are considering their transfers). We were so busy with the parks that we didn't really spend much time using the pool etc, but it was great to have the space this place affords in the rooms to just get home to and relax after a very long day. You can make your own food and do washing and drying (really useful if you are traveling light). Also, I found they were very forthright with information - on arrival you sign up for what you want and what you don't want (cleaning services) and there were no nasty surprises when we got the bill.
There is really no catch. Our Condo was spacious and clean. The staff is great. The grounds were well kept. The pool is more than big enough. Plenty of lounge chairs, and honestly a good location. They are doing more construction on a property next door, but you really don't notice any noise.
It was renovated. Also, the location. You will see when you drive there. It’s tucked away but it’s a great place to stay. Ask for a refurbished room for sure.
It's probably cheaper because there is no restaurant and only the tiki bar large pool and small fitness centre.but this suited us as after long day at the parks we just wanted to chill out by the pool. We bought our own drink at Walmart and took down to the pool area.
I don't think that there is a catch, we thought it was a good. My personal criticism of the place is that there is very little to do. It may be a cultural thing, given that we travelled thousands of miles, but we would have preferred if the resort was actually more of a resort, ie a restaurant and bar etc.
This is not a Disney property. You cannot walk to the attractions from this location.
There is no catch, the unit we stayed in was three bedrooms three baths over 1,500 sq. ft, everything was updated and spotless, even included a washer and dryer in the unit.
We had a beautiful view of the pool. Full kitchen stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. All you have to do is buy the food!
No maid service, but that's fine.
This is the place to stay.
