Are you able to get out and view any areas. Are there interesting areas to see in the Delta?
Lots of areas to see all sorts of things. Not overly touristy so most anything you want to see you can.
Tons of history. Farm land for miles and miles. Lakes and rivers. Old houses.
Great food. We have it all.
Yes, you can stop and check out areas along the way. This area is scarce though of tourists . Nice quiet rides with flat land and not very populated. The food is great and when visiting museums their is only a few people so you can take as much time as you like. If you enjoy good blues music, go during one of the blues fests. Also gas is cheap. I paid $1.99 a gallon.
Depends upon where in the Delta you are. Indianola has the B.B. King Museum and Cleveland the Grammy Museum. Greenville has several interesting museums albeit on a smaller scale than the other two I mentioned. It is said that the Mississippi Delta begins in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel in Memphis and runs to Catfish Row in Vicksburg, so there is a lot of territory.
