I honestly cannot remember, but we asked the front desk what was appropriate, and we added about 200-300 Rands to that number.

It depends...if you are at River Lodge and your Safari truck has a full complement of 10 adults, 2000 RAND (10 * 200 each person) is a decent tip. If you are at Buffalo Camp and there are only two people in the truck then 400 RAND (2 * 200) is perhaps insufficient. The guides and rangers are superb; depends upon what you feel comfortable with.

We gave about 500 rand each. Gave it to them direct as I believe reception may keep it for themselves or pool them
