Can you view animals from either the Farm House or the River house (maybe drinking out of the River at the River House?)
At River House you may see animals (including elephants or buffalo) drinking from the river on the opposite bank. At Farm House you may well see various antelope species as well as monkeys, warthogs and mongoose, all like to frequent the lawns around the house. Other then that you won't see many other animals from both houses as the houses are fenced to protect our guests (including children) from predators.
Not really other than small animals (we had fun following a large Gecko around :)).
Birds in abundance however.
It's a lovely place to sit and relax.
Hope that helps.
I think you would in the farm house, but in the river house or owners house, (which has the exact same view) you would but highly unlikely. (I think)
A huge elephant swam upstream whilst we were in the pool at the River House, so you might get lucky as we did
No unfortunately not (well we didn't). The only animals we saw from the River House were monkeys and birds. The houses are fenced in so I am not sure animals can get close to the lodge.
From the Farm House yes. From the River House except some monkeys and birds it is very hard to see a big animal.
We saw monkeys and baboons.
Birds and big geckos from the house patios.
Not necessarily drinking, but playing in the trees.
Hi, that's not possible. Both the River House and the Farm House are fenced, because Madikwe Game Reserve is Big 5 territory. Sometimes you can see small animals like mongoose, impala, monkeys inside the fence, but no big predators.
