West Point Museum Questions & Answers

Walden, New York

RD,

Are you sure you were in the West Point Museum? The Museum is in the yellow brick building behind the Visitor Center. We do not have a Cadet barracks display. It sounds as if you toured the displays in the Visitor Center. The Museum has six galleries, and has quiet a bit more in its exhibits that what you described.

Thanks

Plan on spending at least 2.5 hours for a self-guided tour. Is the museum kid friendly? Our kids enjoyed seeing the various types of weapons over the ages.

Yes, the cadet barracks display is in the visitor's center along with photos, uniforms, etc.. You can also buy tickets for the West Point tour in the visitor's center. The museum is right behind the visitor's center and slightly to the right. Like the visitor's center, it is free. I have photo's attached to my review. duck8to
