Hello. This weekend will be my first time tent camping in this state park. There are over 2 dozen sites still available to choose from. Several next to trash, water, and bathrooms. I will have 2 tents and enjoy cooking around the fire so we are looking for a spacious site. Are there any particular sites you would recommend over others? I am looking for something semi private and not right on top of our neighbors. Thank you in advance
hi Nam! Was just there back in June, please see my review. I highly recommend the eastern loop, camp sites #278 and up. We had 306 and it would suit your needs, but ask the folks in charge for free sites in that range.
The advantage of that loop is that it is more spacious in general. We did have to drive 5 min to the public shower facility, each day, but it was well worth it. I found the area near the showers cramped, claustrophobic. Our loop was a bit more secluded, there was still a sense of community but you weren't breathing down each others' necks. Even the trees are spaced further apart. There are 2 large green patches to kick a ball, throw a frisbee, play with your dog etc.
