I am thinking of booking the 1 bedroom suite but somehow at Agoda it states that is only 20m2 while at Bookingcom it's 37m2. Both websites indicates same images, and with a caption - room with no view. I am wondering if both are the same? I checked on the official website and it seems that there's only 1 standard type of 1 bedroom suite.
the 1br suite we had was easily 50sqm in total. they are probably all different but 20sqm is more like a hotel room and even 37sqm is small for a "suite"
From the rooms that I saw, you either have a view directly at another building or a view of the street with buildings across the street that obscures any other city views. On the other hand, there is a very nice rooftop terrace that is available to all guests that has a great view of the bay, the GG bridge and Alcatraz. Our group sat up there every evening. The bedrooms all back towards an inner courtyard.
The actual suite sizes differ depending on corner locations or hallway configurations, while the stock photo is the same for multiple web sites. It could be that some booking sites only have smaller rooms, while others may offer the larger suites. Based on my experience, it is only the luck of the draw which room you actually get at check-in, and I was informed that the manager makes room assignments each day, so there is really no advance knowledge of which room you will be assigned. I was also told that there was no opportunity to change rooms and that the manager's decision was final! Pretty poor customer responsiveness on many levels.
Thank u for your answer. Is there any view at the living room? The images show no view for bedroom but views/ windows at the living room.
We had a one bedroom suite with no view and it was quite large, although I wouldn't be able to judge the size in meters. We were only offered one size room, so if there are two sizes we weren't aware of it. We were very happy with the hotel and the room.
