we are interested in booking a few nights in August with a few questions. we have 2 young children (age 3 and 7), is the place kids friendly or let's say if they are loud would it be an issue with other guests. and we are driving to Boston so wondering if parking is available. Thanks.
Parking is available at a rate of $20.00 per night. We are a fairly quiet hotel and we typically host an older demographic; however, that's not to say that our hotel is not kid-friendly. Loud children may bother other guests, but we trust that you will respect our relaxing, quiet atmosphere as best you can.
I hope this answered your question.
I think everyone's definition of kid friendly is different so I will give you my take. It is a historic hotel similar to staying in a bed & breakfast. I would bring my kids but they are 13, 11, & 5. The main reason I would bring is to see historical sites and easy walk ability from hotel, but it does not have the amenities that some chains have for kids. We would use the hotels great location to visit many areas around Boston but not be in the hotel all day. With that being said, there is a parking lot, but it is a walking town..., the street/sidewalk is not stroller friendly if your family uses one.
Parking is available in back of the hotel, but it's good to let the guest house know in advance that you need parking. Also, it might be good to speak to them directly about traveling with your kids. It's not really a kid-friendly place but they may be accommodating.
I stayed here because it was quiet. As a guest I would not appreciate other peoples loud children.
