Ghost Tours of Philadelphia Questions & Answers

Melbourne

Has anyone tried booking this tour online and it be declined because apparently your address doesn't match some random banks records? This happened to me yesterday. The error came up saying I had entered my address incorrectly and it did not match AVS(??) system so I altered the address and tried again, same error came up. I check my bank and they have charged me twice even though the website has not confirmed I am booked into the tour. I called Ghost Tour Philly and they told me that my booking was declined and no payment has been taken when in fact, the payment has been taken twice! The company would not accept the fact that I have been charged. Now I'm going to have to dispute the charges through my bank to try and get a refund... so annoying!!

Thank you both so much for your feedback.

Lulu - can you book the ghost tours on the day? We will be there on Friday 18th March. It seems a bit hard to organise from Australia so hopefully we can just do it on the day we get there. We are only in Philly for one day so fingers crossed its not booked out!

Brian - Thanks for the suggestion of the Pass. I will look into it

Hello Sairs,

I would contact them again with proof it was taken out of your account with the bank.

I usually pay online for tickets and always receive confirmation. Use this number when you deal with them again. Also, with when booking with Philly tours, there are numerous tours that come under that name. I. for one was confused when I first looked at the website and choosing which one I wanted. I called the one but they informed me, it was not the correct Philly tour I wanted. Even though it stated Philly tours. I guess you would call it a branch out. I made sure I booked the right tour I wanted to go on and confirmed before I paid. You can play it safe by purchasing a Philly Pass also. Please don't get discouraged-go to multiple tours while you are in town to visit. You can also try purchasing the tickets through the Philadelphia Visitor Center who can help you when you chat with the park rangers or help at the desk. Please contact the Philadelphia visitor center at 6th and Market street. Even I had hard time deciphering which tour I wanted and I live here.

So, please for the future, contact the visitor center and will help you.

Hope this helps and enjoy.

First, I think you're on the right track, dispute the charges with your bank. I have had problems with international transactions such as this. Second, don't pay full price for the tour! Buy the Philly Pass, see so much more, and this is included! We saved about $300 USD on $600 USD on two and a half days of attractions with the Philly Pass. Have fun!
